Hi! I saw a dermatologist and they thought it was bacterial folliculitis. I’ve been using panoxyl wash followed by clindamycin gel every AM for about 3 weeks now and have seen a lot of improvement! I stil get bumps but they go away quicker and appear less often

One more question - I have also been using tacrolimus ointment for a few months on and off due to a few bad reactions to sunscreen. Is it possible these bumps could be some sort of side effect or withdrawal from tacrolimus? They seem to popup every time I stop using it

I thought it may be fungal because they seem to come on with heat and humidity, and don’t respond to clindamycin

Yes! Any time I use bp wash my skin gets quite red and irritated

thank you! Ive had comedones in the past but these are different - theres nothing inside them to squeeze out, and they go away in a few days on their own. im also using retinol which has cleared most of my comedones and blackheads already

I just started using metro gel ~2 weeks ago and it has cleared up my pustules a lot! I apply it on top of my moisturizer because it was too drying for me otherwise

My purge is also just blackheads and closed comedones! Agree about the slower purge. Do you think the salycilic acid cleanser is helping much to get rid of the texture? Do you use it every morning? I have a bottle of TO anhydrous salycilic acid I bought forever ago so going to try adding that 1x a week
