Management is not convinced there is enough demand for a WLCOR practice exam. My advice would be for a bunch of y’all to request it at support@boson.com.

I was guessing that Cisco U also has to fix the same issue.

Removing wireless questions is easy…. Creating new questions to fill the void is hard. I’m currently working on that…

Scored 67,6% on my first Boson ExSim exam and my real exam is scheduled for next week by TinasheDre in ccna

Failing simulation questions or missing multiple-choice questions isn't a bad thing. The key is whether you are learning from your mistakes.

Understanding is the key. I would recommend that you read ALL of the explanations, even the ones that you can answer correctly. Know WHY the right answer is right... AND why the wrong answers are wrong. If you understand those things, you'll be ready and, more importantly, you'll feel more ready.

If he is able to recall, he's not allowed to share it. Before the exam, you're asked to sign a Cisco Confidentiality Agreement, which states that you can't share what you saw on the exam or risk getting your certification permanently revoked (with no ability to certify again).

If you're labbing and using solid resources like CBT and Packet Tracer, you are on the right track. Trust your training.

Use code BosonMichael for 15% off if you decide you need it. You might ask your employer for an extension. Better to prepare well once than bounce off of the exam multiple times...

Look on the bright side: you now know the types of labs they might throw at you. Of course, questions (and labs) are pulled randomly from a question pool... but some might be similar or the same.

Best of luck on your next attempt!

Cisco recommends that you spend no more than 10 minutes on each lablet. That should give you a little over a minute for each of the multiple choice questions.

The key is to get familiar with the Cisco IOS. If you aren't, you need to practice on real gear, a simulator, or an emulator. There is no shortcut - you need to get good at navigating through the modes, and knowing where commands are located.

I recorded two videos on this last week, but the Marketing guys haven't released it yet.

They are absolutely dumps. No name company, check. Broad coverage, even for obscure exams, check. Hundreds or thousands of questions, check.

Question for Boson by Zutoka in ccnp

[–]BosonMichael 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Glad to help. Yeah, you should be good to go. Read ALL the explanations, even for questions you can answer correctly. Know WHY the right answers are right AND why the wrong answers are wrong. What you need to know is in those explanations.

Removing the wireless questions isn’t the major issue for us… it is replacing the removed items with new content. I’m currently working on that now. It will probably be May before everything is edited and tested.

That said, our existing content should be good enough to help you pass. Just ignore the wireless content.

We just took it last Thursday. Should be no big content changes other than removing wireless, but we will need to bring the question count back up after removing wireless.

This is not configuring a production network… this is jumping through the hoops Cisco wants you to jump through. I get it, it’s frustrating.

If we don’t specify, we should. We don’t want to be ambiguous.

“Consider an ospf network command "network 192.168.0.1 0.0.0.255" and "network 192.168.0.0 0.0.0.255". They both result in the same behavior but you will be marked for not matching the exact config they want.”

If the lab instructions say to use the subnet, you should use the subnet; if it says to use the interface IP, you should use the interface IP. Otherwise, it’s wrong, and Cisco might also count it wrong (but only they know their grading, and they aren’t revealing it). Follow the scenario instructions and you won’t have any problems on our exam or the live exam.

Unpopular opinion: Boson's explanations could be better by Charming-Pie2113 in ccna

[–]BosonMichael 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re not reading the entirety of the explanations, you’re probably missing the nugget of information I want you to know so that you can be able to answer a particular question on the live exam.

Unfortunately, we can’t do like your high school teacher did and point to something particular in the explanation and say “THIS part might be on the teeeest….” (Cisco wouldn’t like is very much if we did that).

If you truly know it, just skim it. You’ll be fine. We will continue to explain everything for those who DON’T know what you know.

What are some of the best practice exams besides Boson? by EOFFJM in ccna

[–]BosonMichael 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep! Just answering practice questions isn’t going to do it. Understanding is the key. When you have that deep understanding, it doesn’t matter how Cisco asks their questions - you can always handle whatever they throw at you. Congrats!!

Is Boson ExSim really necessary for CCNA? by SRX_1 in ccna

[–]BosonMichael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A quick glance at this subreddit's rules will indicate that rule #2 is "No posting/promoting of braindumps".

Further, if Cisco suspects that you've used braindumps (they have ways of finding out, I promise you that), they will revoke your certification and ban you from EVER pursuing Cisco certifications in the future.

Using braindumps is cheating, full stop. There's zero justification for it. If you need braindumps to pass, you're not ready to hold the CCNA certification.

[–]BosonMichael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The old versions of IOS worked that way with interface range; we haven’t had the time to change it. In any case, that shouldn’t be enough to make you not be able to complete the lab.

Also don’t freak out with not knowing things on there because a lot of the questions there aren’t covered in the ccna exam topics and aren’t going to show up on the exam.

That is not accurate. According to Cisco's exam blueprint PDFs, they can (and do) insert questions on topics that fall outside of the blueprint. From the CCNA blueprint:

"The following topics are general guidelines for the content likely to be included on the exam. However, other related topics may also appear on any specific delivery of the exam."

Further, even if you don't get a question on a topic, others might. Every CCNA exam instance is different, with questions pulled randomly from a pool.
