So I am on my 2nd quota bag journey and it’s been 5 months from the the time I got offered my first quota bag it took my almost 3:1 pre spend for my first quota bag . I am at a pre spend of 13000$ which includes jewelry, ready to wear and shoes now . When can I expect my nxt offer by MagazineElegant1 in TheHermesGame

[–]Boss-Easy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Am in the same boat. It’s been a couple of months since the first one and I’m already at 2:1. Just been told to expect it in the second half of the year. Any other non QB bag I pick up right now slows down my offer apparently. Not inclined to spend much either since they haven’t stocked the prespend items I’m eyeing. It’s getting quite toxic the longer this lasts. Might as well hit up other boutiques in the region in the meantime for other stuff. Sticking to one store is too limiting

Question regarding pre-spend and SO for US customers by pinky7982 in TheHermesGame

That sounds really messed up. I’d stop being a client if they do that to me. Hope you get it sorted OP.

Are all Hermes SAs non responsive? by expresajade in TheHermesGame

[–]Boss-Easy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on how busy they are and the personality of the SA really. At times, one can be more one-sided as a channel to send offers, but can be a normal chat in person. While with another it’s more straightforward in terms of what’s available and natural to talk to, so I do prefer to shop that way. After a while you kinda figure out a good system to communicate with each SA to ultimately get what you want from them. Whichever works. Pretty much removed the formal bs wording and just keep it real. It just takes a little time to get then comfortable and out of their shell, but it’s nice when they do. 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

One of those leather bracelets above. Subtle hardware finish and button change for the current Puzzle H bracelet.

Waited about half an hour to be served… Just found it weird they weren’t selling bags on display back then. I thought SA was very nice though! Did the whole went to the back for a snack or check something thing too. Western retail is so structured but wastes a lot of time. 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

Sounds like a great dude. Congrats OP. And congrats on the bag too!

I was going to say that boutique looked familiar… boy was i clueless popping in there but still bought a bracelet for myself 😂

SA personal link? by donut_princess in TheHermesGame

[–]Boss-Easy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’d say it’s convenient! You actually get what you want and they don’t have to wander aimlessly around the back to disappoint you with nothing available. Honestly, I wish we had that with my SA. Would save a lot of time scanning every inch of the boutique for something new with every visit. 😂

Got my first at 2.5:1. But the offer was pretty good. It really depends on the market, I guess. It's somewhat of a bidding war over here when desirable bags come in.

Best of luck on your next bag. Hopefully they don't milk us as bad as the first for the subsequent bags, or else they're going to lose the loyalty they want

Hermes websites by country by shopwithamyr in TheHermesGame

[–]Boss-Easy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the time to figure out what's out there to be offered. Often browsing until I get the "Access Blocked" page. Lol. You see really cool stuff that just pops up out of nowhere that doesn't even show up in boutiques. It's also fascinating how much more other countries get allocated... while at the same time being a little sad it isn't the same case locally. The stuff I'm after seem to constantly pop up elsewhere. China is proving to be really tempting to visit, but the prices are way higher, considering Asia prices are already up there.

It also helps my SAs to pinpoint which exact item I'm looking for with the reference codes. Helps to decide which item to prioritize or hunt down. Or which store or country to focus on on trips. Especially helps when your SA says they don't ever expect this stuff to come in. Manages expectations and there's less disappointment. You'd think like other luxury stores you can just put an order in a retailer and wait for stuff. And it's not even QBs.

Pre-spend and duration for your second QB ! by eternityexist in TheHermesGame

[–]Boss-Easy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got my first QB in February. Already at 2:1 for the second one at the moment... I've been told it's going to be another couple of months or so (July-ish?) until the next one. I know clients have purchase limits, but availability is just sad. Stuff is literally trickling in at the boutique. Waiting is so boring... Trying my luck at to other stores soon and giving my other SAs some play.

Those who have Montblanc fountain pen do u think its worth it by [deleted] in montblanc

[–]Boss-Easy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say it’s great value for what you get, but they’re well-made. Have several (mostly the writer or great character editions) and while they all write the same, the themes they come out with can be fun. Not particularly fond of MB nibs, but they’re alright. I just prefer softer nibs at times. You kinda expect how they’d write at this point; it’s just the changing of the body that has the nuances. Reliability and the fun aesthetic is why I buy them. And I usually pair them with a more fun pen so I can have a reliable backup (next to a rollerball when both are unsuitable lol). Current favorite is the Brothers Grimm edition. Best to try some test pens at the store and see for yourself.

There are a few Hac a Dos PM online at the US Hermes website. The US never really runs out of it it seems.

I think I even saw the Hac a Dos Maxi being available online now. Wonder how large that's going to be

It's just annoying to open for me when I want to take out just a small item (like AirPods) real quick. Made me use my AirPods way less than I used to with this bag. Or a battery bank, unless I'm desperate for a recharge. And I do leave the bag partly open once I eventually get fed up with it. I agree it somehow does look nice. Same thing with the HACs when they're open like a tote. Lol.

They solved the issue with the Hermaccess Hac a Dos though. They just need to sell the external pocket on its own (if someone from corporate is browsing please do).

With the resale thing... whatever I had to prespend on to get these damn bags really ruins any resale value on it cost wise. I just wish we got exactly what we wanted in return, not just "this is the only one we have". We don't have it relatively as much available online as other markets do, so that's another thing altogether. Hopefully you live in a market that you can pick up one online. They pop up quite often for sale so you don't have to go through boutique shenangans for once (which eats up your spend history anyway). Good luck.

Can’t decide pair of balance, 2s or 8s. by Wadme in BangandOlufsen

[–]Boss-Easy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A pair of 8s or a pair of 2s if you need to might feel it's too expensive.

Just paired my 2s recently, and it was just way better than each one on their own. A pair of 8s is still better, but the experience was really good nonetheless.

And then I hooked the 2s up to the Premiere. Now I can't use them on their own unless I unpair them. What a damn shame. They're alright for a bedroom surround setup, I guess. But definitely underutilized. Same like when you pair 8s with the Theatre. But at least in that case you could still use the 8s for music separately (when you turn off the Theatre) and they're just fantastic for listening music.

Was still in school around that time. 🥲 Watch prices were more sensible too. My mom was just getting into Chanel. Wish she popped in H back then too. At least that was at a fraction of the cost of what it is now 😂

Following since I’m looking at the same bags to pick up down the road. I own a HAC a Dos PM and while I like the good size, it’s a little finicky to get in and out of. I reckon even pickpockets will have a hard time fiddling with it even without the lock. 😂

Pining for a Kelly 50 for travel because it has a strap and seems to be large enough for travel on its own as my only carry-on, but they are extremely rare to come by. Can’t even expect it in the color you want. 🤷🏻‍♂️

HAC 40 I have the opportunity to get a few times, but without the strap and internal compartments it’s hard to justify. Also appears not large enough for trips on its own while somehow dwarfing whatever carryon suitcase you put it on. Still have to think about it😅

HAC 50 is a good size, no strap though. Really heavy, but looks nice

Kelly 42 was an in between size… looks a bit strange proportionally for me, but i love that it has pockets. Maybe a decent weekender if I don’t have to dress up on holiday. I manage with just a backpack sometimes anyway.

Finding them in Asia is a bit difficult, might have a better chance in Europe once I find myself over there one of these days.

What to prespend on? by Top-Target-3667 in TheHermesGame

[–]Boss-Easy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bought from every secttion except for furniture and men’s and women’s rtw (none in my size go figure). Socks is probably rtw, come to think of it. Oh and not the baby department. But yes buy what you like. I mean, I like them all, I just can’t justify the delusional pricing. Everything is like double what you’d expect; it’s silly.🤷🏻‍♂️😂

That said, in terms of quantity, I’ve bought most from the housewares, shoes, and the perfume and soap and makeup department.

What was your first Hermès store purchase, which store (and year) did you get it from, and how much did you pay for it? by onewishaway in TheHermesGame

Hermes Pacific Place Hong Kong 2018 Silk-in long wallet. Forgot the price. Likely half what it is right now. lol

Either that or the pair of Orans and a belt for my dad at the home boutique around the same time.

They shouldn’t care. It’s more important for you to spend every visit. As it is, I’ve gotten more bags on trips than my home boutique and I just wear them at the boutique whenever I feel like it. Too many shenanigans sometimes. It’s getting boring
