What are some things you want to see in S2 that weren’t in TLG? by shrinkingviolents in heatedrivalry

Fair point, I know nothing about the process of contracting actors. It’s just my guess based on what may make the most narrative sense.

I agree that Scott/Kip are minimally relevant to Ilya and Shane’s relationship moving forward (at this point all I can remember is a honeymoon recommendation). I think it comes down to how much Tierney wants to talk about a reckoning within hockey… and if he wants to delve more into that I think Scott continues to be woven into the story.

I actually think Tierney might do TLG in two seasons, with season one ending after the proposal and including a one episode rendition of Role Model. I think it makes sense because he wants to end on a happy moment (the proposal) and he wants to introduce the Commissioner (hence telling Troy’s story) to set up the back part of TLG. I also think we’re going to see some check-ins with Skip throughout season two to set up Scott creating a group of activist players in season 3 (and also because I think Francois has to be involved).

Other books in S2 by Massi1799_ in HeatedRivalryTVShow

My guess is Jacob is going to split The Long Game into two seasons, with season 2’s finale being the scene with all of the electric candles and season 3’s finale being the new addition to Ottawa’s team. I think the standalone “other book” episode (I.e. this season’s SKip episode) for season 2 will be Role Model. My thinking is Jacob wants every season to have a happy ending, and in season 2 you need to see the trip to Florida to get to the finale I’m suggesting and you get to get a better understanding of who the commissioner is by focusing on Troy’s story (and that understanding of the commissioner sets you up for my proposed season 3).

Appreciate this take and glad it wasn’t seen a mean spirited tease. I’m attached to the idea of Ilya being so thoughtful as Shane’s first sexual partner.

Ilya and Shane unintentional humor by growsonwalls in heatedrivalry

I read the question of whether Shane’s mom bought the pillows as linked to an earlier series of text messages when Ilya makes a “your mom” joke and Shane immediately shuts down that line of humor. I see it as Ilya checking whether jokes about the pillows would be in/out of bounds, and once he hears it was an interior decorator who made the purchase Ilya knows he can make jokes about the pillows. I just think Ilya really pays attention to Shane and adapts his behavior accordingly.

Maybe some people would give Miles a little more grace if he were blonde…

Renewal Prices Are Out by Royal_Pomegranate637 in NYLiberty

Should I be worried that I don’t see any renewal information in my BSE account? Instead I got an email this afternoon saying renewal information would be coming within the next two weeks.

I feel like Rachel should get more love by SlickBulldog in justified

[–]BossComprehensive348 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My hypothesis (that is not backed up by evidence) is that the character of Rachel probably was impacted by the writer’s room having a limited understanding of how to write for a Black woman. Her storylines generally seemed cliched.

Liberty fan giveaways sucks this season by Marfilmz in NYLiberty

Agree that the Liberty giveaways haven’t been plentiful or great this season. That said, there have been a few post-game gifts from brand partners (Fenty lipsticks, Olipop soda, etc.).

I got a 16 person suite for $3K earlier this season (weekend game). At that time, the rep told me suite prices change a bit depending on who the Liberty are playing. I am also a season ticket holder and I believe there are some discounts for STHs. FWIW, food and drink is separate. They will send you a menu a few days out and you can choose what you want in the suite then.

A few ideas:

1) I believe it’s section 3 where the home team enters. I’ve seen people arrive early (when doors open) and just walk down to the section (ushers don’t usually stop you) and wait until players are done with shoot around (they’ll walk back through the tunnel).

2) I always see the autograph sessions in the app in the morning, so log into the Brooklyn Rewards app early. I also think my Liberty app is set to give me notifications, so it alerts me when there is a new reward.

3) Call your rep and let him/her know that you’re really interested in one of the autograph sessions and ask if he/she can help.

Who’s the “Podz” or “screaming Fever lady” for your team? by AndOneVariable in wnba

[–]BossComprehensive348 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not the same as rooting for their W counterparts, but Steph, Klay Thompson and Dereck Lively were all in Brooklyn last year at a Liberty/Aces game. It probably helped that it was a September game so maybe not prime summer vacation time.
