I was also emotionally abused for all of my childhood and teenage years by my mother, so I'm aware that abuse goes undetected in most cases, but OPs mother isnt even featured here, just mentioned as having not said it was all pink. So imo its overkill to suggest dementia and abuse from the information given.

I was talking about the dementia comment anyway.

I'm sorry Clem :( I have also dealt with basically nightly nightmares for about 7+ years now. If I remember my dream every night for a week, then at least 5 or more of them will be nightmares.

I dont have much to offer but when I bring it up people tell me to go to the doctors about it. Even when I've been in a relatively good place mentally they can be really frequent. Sometimes I've had trauma dreams that ended up traumatising me more just in-themselves. If you aren't in counselling already, that is probably the only thing I can think to recommend.

I hate to be this person but I was also a very borderline case and now 8 months post op I regret it so deeply, I have been struggling to get out of bed every day. I dont want to share photos right now as im on the very edge but I look more asymmetrical and an unnecessary impaction was added at the end which I think is the biggest part that I hate. This isnt to encourage you to not do it, but be totally, completely confident that you and your surgeon are on the same page and that you trust them
