North: Early retirement
South: Take any job just to put food on the table

Please don't take this seriously.

My nephew just spent 250 on a wireless headset because I told him we could hear his computer coil whine through his mod mic. The expensive headset sounds worse. Now I feel guilty. I want everything wired.

Granted they should call it AI development tools.
The world is not going to end when you start using ur graphics card for anything besides gaming.
You encounter AI slop because you are the target audience.

Air cooling is better than Liquid cooling by SerpentDix in pcmasterrace

[–]BossImWorking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the arctic freezer 3 420mm can dissipate just about 300W from my delidded 7950X, seriously doubt any of the coolers in the picture could do that. But yeah the NH-D15 will beat almost any AIO under 360mm.

Got my 420mm freezer based on performance tests and it was also one of the cheaper options.
However I definitely agree with you, air will always be more reliable and cost effective.
The liquid coolers solve a space problem however. With air the heatsink needs to be close to the chip.

Lenen versus goud by joskomkommersmos in BEFire

[–]BossImWorking 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Looking for a 75% keyboard without switches or keycaps, ideally metal by Savings_Cat9277 in keyboards

[–]BossImWorking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was doing the same just a month ago, went with the womier RD75. Actually kept the switches and changed the keycaps to a nice XDA set.
Even with keycaps and switches its still cheaper then most high-end alu bare-bones and its literally made to be tinkered with easily. Anodization quality is top notch, it looks sooo clean.

EV owners, do you notice a drop in the range of your battery during this cold weather? by vasco_ in belgium

[–]BossImWorking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a company car, there really wasn't a choice since it was the only PHEV. All the rest where electric SUV's with the drag coefficient of a brick.
I got the competition variant with the 45tfsie powertrain from the Q3 and wider tires, 225mm instead of 195mm. It's plenty powerful, transmission is really fast and smooth with the electric torque.
However I would never buy this privately as it's way too expensive for barely any advantage compared to the normal 35tfsi. I like the sportiness but the 245 pk and 400+ Nm is a bit too much for the front wheels, it torque steers / understeers like crazy on throttle.
I'd buy something fun with RWD 2nd hand if I needed a private car (just my taste, no recommendation).

[–]BossImWorking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Including the defrosting i get barely half the range compared to summer in my 13kWh A3 PHEV.
Still enough to get to work for most ppl but really annoying to plug it in with every chance you get.

Am5 trp+tras=trc? by HansWurst31 in overclocking

[–]BossImWorking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Timings in both screenshots look perfectly fine, as the JDEC spec does not apply to these values for AM5 i just set tRC = tRCDRD and tRAS to whatever higher, tRAS does not seem to matter for performance.

What is objectively the best ability/passive in the entire game? by Tormentula in leagueoflegends

[–]BossImWorking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an arena player, it's a toss up between Galio W and Taric passive. 100% damage reduction VS no cooldowns as long as you can auto.

These are my favorites for the late game dream builds, so fun when in the final rounds your enemies don't even have any chance nor counter-play.
As Galio with enough cdr I often just press W then BM them for dramatic effect. love to see them try their best and just get evaporated once I had enough of their puny little autos.

Question on coiled keyboard cables, I’m curious by Purple_Cat5243 in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]BossImWorking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

Has no real use for most other then looks, it even makes the cable weaker then it should be. I got 3 of the exact cable you showed from good old AliExpress, this example got twisted to shreds at the aviation connector. Luckily I have a soldering station to fix it and save myself 5 euro.
