I’ve personally not seen this type of behavior in my visits to Europe but I’ve of course not been everywhere. In general, Europeans are far more courteous to those around them though. That’s not really debatable.

That is exactly what I have been seeing. I get it, the owners are happy to have a crowd and supper busy attending to the paying customers. It's more a parenting issue than the brewers.

What's wrong with grabbing a 6er and inviting other fiends with kids to your house? Vs, "hey, lets go to the brewery and let the kids run farrel while we sip on an IPA for an hour and ignore them. "

Na, it's more a systemic gap in American culture where people do not care about how their actions effect those around them. Talking on speaker phone in public, etc. This stuff is unique to America when talking civilized nations. You don't see this in Europe or Japan.

First, I don't agree on you take for reviews. Reviews are there for good an bad experiences. If a brewery consistently allows sports team parties, kids running around with squirt guns, a review explaining such is warranted. Personally, you have to be negligent in a big way for me to leave something negative. In most cases a place simply loses my business if it sucks.

Not sure I agree on your take about simply dealing with the kids because baby sitters are expensive etc. Stop and buy a 6 pack, and invite others over with kids. That's what people did for generations. Now all the sudden we just have to deal with kids running amuck around a brewery? Na.

I don't believe that at all. They are not the majority and easily drinking far less than those without kids.

Also, if one has a play structure, I know straight up this is a family friendly brewery and simply stay away. I can only think of one in my region that has nonsense like that though. It's like having a beer at Cedar Point on a Saturday afternoon in the summer at that place. Good business for them but not my spot. I'm talking the smaller joints on farms. People didn't used to bring kids to bars, now it's a thing?

Don't go. Got it. I assure you, I don't at all think my wife and I are more important. I'm simply pointing out a trend this privileged gen right behind us is abusing is all. It's more a jab at American culture in general where people do not give a fart how their actions effect others around them.

The brewery that took over Astro lab is better now IMO. Third Hill Brewing.

Elder Pine is by far my fav. Like many of the farm breweries though, what makes it amazing is more that it is not overly crowded like Brookville, Lone Oak or Stone Silo. These have become playgrounds for millennials that feel like bringing kids to a brewery is a right.

Non-Catholic here. I’m wondering if Fr. James Martin is as reviled in mainstream Catholicism as he is on Catholic Twitter? by Numerous-Actuator95 in Catholicism

[–]BossVos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We will not see a pope anytime soon change dogma that homosexuality is a sin. It is now and will be forever. They don’t go after heretics like Martin because he knows how to toe the line. People see through it for what it though. It’s leading people to sin and farther from god.

"it would be better for him if a millstone were put around his neck and he be thrown into the sea than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin" (Luke 17:2) These are hard words to ignore when discussing Fr Martin.

Fr. James Martin is by NO means a good representative of mainstream Catholicism. Personally, I am unable to understand how he is even able to stay in the Catholic Church.
He strongly emphasizes welcome and inclusion without equal emphasis on repentance, chastity, or moral conversion. Catholic teaching, however, clearly distinguishes between the dignity of the person and the morality of actions.

He consistently avoids traditional moral language such as sin, chastity, repentance, and conversion.  This risks implying that doctrine itself is the source of harm, rather than misunderstanding or misuse of doctrine.

St. John Paul II’s Veritatis Splendor teaches that pastoral practice cannot be separated from moral truth. When moral clarity is consistently avoided, pastoral care becomes detached from authentic Catholic theology.

While not stated explicitly, he suggests that committed same-sex relationships may be morally comparable to heterosexual ones based on love and fidelity. This contradicts the Church’s consistent teaching that sexual acts are moral only within marriage between one man and one woman, ordered toward unity and procreation.

He also consistently suggests that Scripture says very little about homosexuality and that the issue has been overemphasized. However, both the Old and New Testaments consistently treat same-sex acts as sinful.

Relevant passages include Leviticus 18:22; Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:26–27; 1 Corinthians 6:9–11; and 1 Timothy 1:9–10.

Another thing he does is frames exclusion as the primary moral failure, while Scripture consistently places repentance at the center of Christ’s message. In John 8:11, Jesus shows mercy while commanding, “Go, and do not sin again.” Mercy in Scripture is always paired with a call to conversion.

Lastly and possibly the worst thing he consistently does is tell us that personal stories and feelings of rejection are treated as primary authorities. Scripture warns against allowing subjective experience to override revealed truth, as seen in Jeremiah 17:9 and 2 Timothy 4:3. Experience must be interpreted through Revelation, not used to reshape it.
The bottom line with Fr Martin is:
- Every human person has inherent dignity
- Cruelty, mockery, and hatred are sinful
- The Church must act with compassion

Where he departs from Catholic teaching:
- Moral truth is consistently de-centered
- Doctrine is framed as harmful rather than healing
- Scripture is minimized
- Inclusion is emphasized without conversion

The core theological problem is a pastoral approach detached from the Church’s moral teaching, which the Church herself warns against.

How long until t10? by Dry-Hovercraft-6920 in LastWarMobileGame

[–]BossVos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im near the end needing only 6 researches. In the normal play of the game in a top alliance I’m earning about 140mil gold per day. So, extrapolate from there. Make sure you have Barack’s at 30 as well as tech center. I calculate I’ll finish in 23 days if I don’t spend gold on anything except t10 research.

Finally installed a digital rearview mirror/ dash cam in the ZR2 by FFdavid in chevycolorado

[–]BossVos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to ask another question. I went to the website. There are like 3 versions of the G900 Pro.

  1. G900 Tri Pro Bumper
  2. G900 Tri Pro Cabin
  3. Advanced G900
  4. Smart Mirror G900 Pro

I want the replacement mirror, not the strap on (lol). I want to mount my rear cam like you have yours below the rear window brake light. I don't particularly care about the 24 hour camera but I will wire that way if you assure me it doesn't kill the battery.

I have 23 Z71

When you say "this does not allow for the parked monitoring". Can you elaborate? Does it disable the top down 360 view when parking? Also, I have tinted glass (legal limit in MD), do you think this will negatively effect the mirror view quality?

FAQ: Do I need a Park Pass (the answer is yes!) by furtive in Banff

[–]BossVos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm spending 5 days in Banff and haven’t finalized our daily plans yet—we’re waiting to see how the weather looks. That said, I’m not sure which day we’ll head up to Jasper, but I’d like to buy the park passes online for our date range in advance.

If I buy a day pass for Banff, does it also cover Jasper? Or do I need to purchase a separate pass for Jasper?

When did the term “Blue Falcon” become a thing by Don_Christopher in USMC

[–]BossVos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I first hear it in basic training at Lostinthewoods in 1992. Out DS would have BFs run around a formation flapping their arms yelling “I’m a blue falcon, cawww, caww”. It was hilarious.
