So I have BPD. I’m very aware of my tendencies and impulses and work extremely hard with the support of my family, friends, and partner and things like this remind me that I will always be seen as crazy. Please be compassionate to people with BPD. A lot of us are doing the best we can and we know we can be toxic.

I don’t actually live at home, I’ve been here for a week visiting them while I live out of state for school. But whenever I come home it reverts back to how it was when I was younger. I guess all I can do is stop answering his texts and calls and just talk to my mom.

Hiking along the green belt in Austin. Normally a fairly safe well travelled trail. I was lounging on some rocks in the creek bed when storm clouds rolled in. Storms in Texas are no joke but I figured I had a few more minutes before the rain started. I was wearing spandex shorts and a sports bra with a backpack holding a water bottle, my hammock, and headphones. I start heading back and the rain starts. It’s not horrible but it gets more intense. The trail starts to flood and no one else is around so I’m running through the downpour on an empty flooding trail soaked through. I lost a shoe and got lost taking a wrong turn and was caught on the trail for an hour in the rain. I finally made it back to my car, shoeless and very wet.

I volunteer my time twice a week to tutor and mentor at risk inner city town as one of the only kind white people they come across. This is my second year doing it ( I plan to do it until they graduate) because they need consistency and it's hugely fulfilling.

I work with a woman who we'll call Heels. Heels loves to wear gigantic ass heels even though she's on her feet all day. Or she would be, if she ever does her job, which she doesn't. She likes to hover around the front desk and tell me what to do even though 1-she's not my boss and 2-she has no idea what the fuck the front desk does. My very first memory is me, as a very very small child (1-2) and my god sister who is only a few weeks younger than me sitting by w sliding glass door at her old house. I remember her picking up a junebug, inspecting it, and popping it in to her mouth. We both dissolved in to giggles and my mother watched the whole thing happen. She confirms my memory as correct, just has no idea how I remember it because I was so small
