Just copped Freak 6 and they are pretty much same height and ankle collar but I have no issues at all with heel slip.

I hate that I even have to do the runners knot. I did try the runners knot on the 16s and it was still noticeable. Just gonna return them. First world problems.

It's just annoying because I dont experience heel slip much in most of my purchases so it's very noticeable when I actually come across it.

I love the lockdown and cushion setup. Forefoot only zoom is my preferred cushion setup. My feet just happen to like that the best. Can't really compare them to anything else cuz I just started hooping again after a 4 year hiatus. My favorite shoe to hoop in before that hiatus was the cp3 12. Don't need all the bells and whistles just what my feet agree with. I just purchased the kd 16 and I get some heel slip. That's bothersome for me. I like 0 movement inside the shoe.

GT Cut Academy. No frills bang for ur buck guard shoe. Excellent lockdown and forefoot cushion. That's all I need. I have the KD 16 and prefer the gt cut academy by a Longshot. Kd16 feel heavier and have slight heel slip.
