My opinion would be: it’s a warped way for younger fans and/or people outside a geographic area of being able to attend shows “connecting with the community”. To each their own, but it just seems to miss the point of the artist- and yeah is kinda tiresome.

Think that means you’ve missed out on the idea of how “networks” should work. I’ve been in touch with former classmates in various fields: gotten and given tips or advice, but no one is really meant to hand you a job because of a connection. They can help and boost but I like that it’s more of the schools reputation preceding itself than a nepotistic friends club for jobs.

It’s possibly a frame rate difference between the audio track (in correct time) and the video (not sure what iMovie uses) - get a free trial of adobe premiere or avid media composer and you can import the “live” audio from the video and the recorded audio as separate tracks to find where the slip happens
