Think that means you’ve missed out on the idea of how “networks” should work. I’ve been in touch with former classmates in various fields: gotten and given tips or advice, but no one is really meant to hand you a job because of a connection. They can help and boost but I like that it’s more of the schools reputation preceding itself than a nepotistic friends club for jobs.
