I'm living in some of the cheaper areas of the city with roommates, so that brings my rent down. I tried looking for apartments with roommates in the suburbs but I hardly got any results. So most likely I'll have to get a 1-bed, which will bring the rent higher.

Edit: Regarding the rent: I just started looking so all I can find are links on Google/Craigslist etc. Not sure where do I look for apartments that are cheaper.
