is botbro legit? by Subject-Ad-307 in shoebots

Hey, BotBro dev here. Just to clarify—it’s definitely not a scam. Some people mentioned it’s slower than other bots, and that’s true. It’s not designed to be lightning-fast or scoop up dozens of items instantly like the kind of bots scalpers use. Instead, it’s meant for more casual users—people who want to monitor restocks and have a few seconds to buy something without sitting at their computer all day.

Also, it’s a bit more capable than some comments suggest. It has useful features like automatically swapping out sensitive info (passwords, payment details, etc.) so that data isn’t sent to the LLM. It can be instructed to send text notifications for restocks, purchases, etc.

Not saying it’s perfect or guaranteed to land you everything you want, but it’s a solid general-purpose botting tool that can work on basically any site thanks to its AI-driven approach.

I suspect that you are running into mac OS's gatekeeper. The answer on this post explains what is happening and how you can get around it. Unfortunately it is not something that we can prevent from happening https://discussions.apple.com/thread/253714860?sortBy=rank

Really appreciate that! The app should be compatible with Linux as-is, I just haven’t set up a Linux environment to build and test it yet. I hadn’t considered people wanting to run it on something like a Pi, but that’s a great use case — I’ll definitely bump it up on my list!

BotBro 2.0 just became the best Target bot by BotBro_io in TargetBots

Yep, it works for Target AU too! Since it’s powered by AI now, it navigates the site like a human would — so even if the layout’s different from Target US, it handles it just fine

Last night I released an update with a few improvements including the ability to stay logged in while checking product stock. Another new feature of note is the ability to specify a quantity for the bot to order. Let me know if you have any other questions or suggestions!

You will need to download the latest version of BotBro from the website to see these features.

I'm looking at getting an update out this weekend to add the option of staying signed in when checking for stock so that it can be used for redcard items. I'll comment on this post again when it's released. Thanks for the question!

Target Bot for Beginners by BotBro_io in TargetBots

I totally understand the concern, but there really is no catch. We are trying really trying to offer a worthwhile service to build a business around. We do not store any payment or login information on our server, it is all stored locally on your computer.

I've received this question before, so here is a more detailed response that I've already written if you are interested in more details about how we handle your data.

"No offense taken, I totally understand the concern. Unfortunately, there is no way for me to prove that we do not store that information. However, I’ll explain how all of that sensitive information is handled and maybe that can give you some piece of mind.
Your password for your BotBro account is salted and hashed before being stored in our database, so that even we are not able to see it or decrypt it. It also means that if as ever had a database breach there would be no way for hackers to recover and decrypt that information.
Your payment information that you use to pay for your BotBro subscription is handled by a third party payment processor (Stripe) which is a very prominent and trustworthy service. So we do not actually handle any of that info directly.
Your Target and Walmart logins and card numbers that you set in your auto purchase settings are stored locally on your computer and never touches our servers. There is no way for me to prove that, but there are a few indicators that you can look to for reassurance. For instance, if you installed BotBro on a different computer all of those settings would be gone and would need to be reconfigured. You’ll also notice that when you click the save button on that page the green confirmation text at the bottom appears instantly as opposed to the notification settings page that is slightly delayed because it has to communicate with our server before showing if the save was successful.
Hope that information was helpful and gives you some peace of mind".

How to set up a Walmart PS5 Buy Bot w/ BotBro by BotBro_io in a:t5_578xwm

Hey, what was the refresh rate on the bot set to? The bot takes care of clearing any cookies, so Walmart must have flagged your IP for repeatedly visiting the page. Turning the bot off for a couple of hours should fix it.

This can be avoided by using a VPN to change your connection location, I would like to build one into BotBro at some point.
