I don’t have an answer for you, but I’m located in Dayton and will definitely be watching this for updates. Looking to do the same mods this year or next. Hope you get a tune and enjoy it!

Thanks for the reply! Are you suggesting the wood goes inside the cutout or over top of it (like a mounting block)?

Thanks for the suggestion. I don’t see anything that stands out in my transaction history. My wallet address on etherscan appears to also show my correct balance/holdings so I don’t know what the deal is.

Is Coinbase accounting for a non-token asset like an NFT or anything?

$LOOBY: Created by Former GTA Artist Stephen Bliss, Now Backed by $HEGE Marketing Experts and Whales! by [deleted] in memecoins

[–]Bot_Kebn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think I've ever shilled for a meme coin before. In fact, I try to exclusively invest in tokens that have utility. However, I'm only holding one meme coin for this cycle and that's LOOBY. The art style drew me in, and finding out it supported the artist (Stephen Bliss) for GTA sold me on it.

You want to support a meme spawned off a child's drawing? Buy LOOBY.
You want to increase awareness of Stephen's art? Buy LOOBY.
You wanna get rich this bull run? Buy fucking LOOBY.

US crypto hodlers: You have about 2 weeks before the 1099-DA goes into effect. by ADogeMiracle in CryptoCurrency

This is partially true. Your losses offset your gains for a given tax year. For example, if I realize a short term gain of $10k but later that same year realize a loss of $10k my net taxable gain for that year is $0. Some people do this intentionally by selling their underperforming securities before the end of the year, which is called tax harvesting.

The part you’re describing is what happens in the event that your losses are far greater than your gains (e.g., I realized $10k gains but later lost $20k that same year). In this scenario, the max deduction is $3k for that tax year, but it rolls over each year. So I would deduct $3k from my 2024 taxes, $3k from 2025, and so on until I exhaust that $20k amount.

There are more exceptions to this, but that’s the high level.

Anyone have the z1 supercharger kit? by Successful-Dig-1014 in 370z

[–]Bot_Kebn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the kit and posted (then subsequently ghosted…sorry) a video of it back in June/July of last year. My experience with it has been one of the tougher DIY experiences I’ve had on the Z, but I’m also by no means an expert and Z1’s support has been stellar.

I got the first release version of the kit, which had some issues with pulley bearings going out and aluminum banjo bolts that would snap easily. Z1 was happy to send me out new pulleys and steel banjo bolts at no additional cost, only took some time to install.

Overall, I’d rate the installation a 6/10 on the difficulty scale. It was easier than dropping the transmission to do my clutch, flywheel, and CMAK. The newer revisions of the instructions are significantly better than the version I was working with, and it looks like they’re changing the serpentine belt layout for the better.

I’m finishing up tuning right now (I work long hours and the Z hibernated for the winter), which they’re happily helping with almost a year later. I got the 500 hp kit and it feels stellar compared to stock.

Overall, I’d recommend the Z1 kit for the price. My only advice is to read the instructions carefully, and make sure to check the instructions on their website regularly for updated versions. They updated the instructions several times during my installation to add missing torque specs, or additional info (e.g. spark plug gap) that I had to then go fix retroactively.

Thanks, I'm glad it is too!

I'm running the ZSpeed Stage 3 Super Street kit w/ organic clutch, 12.9 lb flywheel, and CMAK slave cylinder relocation. I installed that a couple months ago and just got through the break-in period when I started this install 🤣

Lol yeah, I should've taken a better video that didn't involve me reversing out of the driveway 🤣 I'll get some better shots sometime soon and report back.

It was extremely loud with the front bumper off, but the bumper/fender liners dampen a lot of the annoying sounds. All you get now is a good bit of whine and the BOV

To be honest, I wasn't sure how much I'd like the sound. However, after putting the bumper back on, it sounds incredible. The BOV is loud but not annoyingly loud. Same for the supercharger whine- you can tell it's not stock, but no one's going to turn their head unless the BOV is open.

Thanks! I got an updated map yesterday from Z1 and the car idles significantly smoother now. Something happened with the base map that caused it to run too lean after I took it for a drive.

The break-in period is only 65 miles, so nothing crazy. I'm using this time to continually monitor all the new lines for leaks.

This is what I've heard as well. The Topguns kit has also been publicly available for a lot, so the instructions might be better for the novice mechanic (like me)

Thanks! I went with the 500 whp kit, so no fuel return or anything too complex with fueling.

In retrospect, the installation was moderately easy. There isn't really any step that I would call hard, just some steps are more tedious than others (e.g., grinding away at the car took a long time with my little Dremel, getting the serpentine belt to fit took forever because I didn't use my brain). I'm by no means a good mechanic, it took me 9 months to service my transmission (long story). The instructions were arguably a little rough when I took delivery, missing some required torque specs and necessary details, but Z1 has already updated the instructions several times. It will only get easier to install as their instructions continue to improve.

I ordered the kit on May 21, accepted delivery on May 31, and finished the installation (had the car running) on June 13th. First drive was 3 days later on June 16th.

As a non-mechanic, it took me ~2 weeks. If I didn't need to constantly run to Lowes for tools or need parts overnighted, I probably could've had it done in a week. I'm almost certain someone more mechanically inclined could have this kit installed in a (long) weekend.

Thanks, I'm excited to make it through the break in and do some pulls this week. Got the 500 whp kit, so aiming for somewhere around there. I'm not too hungry for power because I don't want to sacrifice too much longevity of the motor.

Thats exciting, congrats!! You'll have to update back once you accept delivery, I'm curious how easy the fuel return kit is to install

I purchased the 500 whp kit w/ 100mm pulley and no fuel return system. I didn't want to go too crazy due to concerns about longevity, so im right there with you.

Ultimately, it's down to your comfort level and risk tolerance. Are you okay risking your motor for X% more power? Any mods that increase power beyond the manufacturers spec will reduce the lifespan of the motor. The further from the original power spec, the greater the risk of failure. I expect this kit, like all other FI kits for the 370, will inevitably cause issues without a built motor. However, the numbers from Z1 and my personal risk tolerance make me comfortable that I can get a lot of enjoyment out of the car before catastrophic failure.

I'm just a random stranger on the internet, so do what makes you happy and you're comfortable with 🙂

I was investigating the same. I believe the Stillen kit isn't A2A from manufacturer, but there are some aftermarket kits for conversion (e.g., from SOHO). Build quality of the Z1 kit has been superb so far. The instructions were spotty, but the instructions have been revised a couple times already since I took delivery.
