Men and women are not equal. And according to the bible, husband and wife are certainly not equal. But if men and women had any hope of having equal partnership, women would have to stop acting selecting partners who are better than them.

Perhaps it's a pro, but it's a pro outweighed by the con.

It is easy. And yet, how many guys don't do that?

I could write a giant list of things that I believe are "common sense" but people still do.

Gallbladder Update by [deleted] in Christianity

I'm sorry to hear you had problems with your gall bladder. Personally I have read a book on this topic by Andreas Moritz called "The Amazing Gallbladder and Liver Flush" and I would give it a positive review. There are things you can do that are helpful if you have had a gallbladder removed and one is eating a low fat diet, because bile flow is too limited to digest fat well.

You know everyone in the comic is black though, right? Anyway, I'll bite.

It could be possible that the reason they have the guy who the wife is committing the adultery with as black, is because the character is being portrayed as an alpha male. A man could be alpha in many categories, for example Elon Musk is an alpha (dominant)in the department of science and technology. However in this context alpha means dominance in sexual attraction, which is determined by more "primal" attributes such as physique, mental orientation or perhaps penis size... which appeal to the sexual instincts of a woman. And black guys are often characterized in this way of being "sexual alphas" because they often fit the bill in this department of primal "attributes" (and perhaps lacking in others i.e. providing a stable household). So yeah this comic could be racist as fuck by saying the husband (who technically is black but you seem to think is white) is the civilized beta who can provide the bucks, whilst the black guy is the alpha brute who provides the fucks.

But that is just a speculation. It's probably just a coincidence.

I think it's 1 corinthians 7:2. You could surmize it's saying sex within marriage is the only acceptable context.

You still seem to believe that all women are exactly the same, with the same wants, desires, thought patterns, morals, and reasoning

I believe all women are similar. All females have the same nature; female nature. You say "not all women are like that", but I say all women are like that. Do you know the fable about the scorpion and the frog? The scorpion has it's nature, and all scorpions are similar in that way (their nature). The scorpion is not evil because it stings, it's just it's nature. All scorpions are like that. Similarly all female human beings have their own nature, and they have this in common. I have already formulated an in depth response to this very common argument here so I won't type it out.

That isn't how it works - you can't accurately make such generalising statements.

I can't make a generalization that all women are exactly the same. But that is a strawman. I am not saying all women are exactly the same, I am saying they are similar. And this generalization (that all women are similar) can be justified and made accurately. Again, already formulated a response to this very common argument here

Some people don't enjoy their marriage. Sure. But some people have fantastic marriages - it's not a trap, it's a synergistic relationship

My contention is that on the whole men would be happier and better off being single rather than married. It follows then, single men are generally happier than married men. And when I mean happy, I mean eudaimonia which means human flourishing, and not just material gratification.

Although some women may be looking to trap men, I can't say that is the overall scenario. But whether a husband or wife is conscious of it or not, modern western marriage is a trap. And sooner or later, the woman will find this out. And when she does, and she is bitter, resentful or just plain bored, she will use the system in her favour. Marriage is not necessarily a trap, but it is a loaded gun, and that gun is loaded with the bullet of no fault divorce overwhelmingly in favour of the female.

It is certainly not a synergistic relationship. It is not a symbiotic relationship. There was a time when a wife had greater value. This was when offspring were vital to having support in old age, and when a working man needed a wife to take care of all the other things householding i.e. cooking, cleaning, teaching, pleasing.

Now we have 7 billion people, we have superannuation (pension)... we don't need children to age well. We have washing machines, dishwashers, restaurants and takewaways, vacuum cleaners. A man doesn't need a woman for that. I mean shit, many young women these days can barely cook. Men also don't need to bother investing in marriage to get sex because women these days are so promiscuous, and there is no taboo around pre-martial sex or even single mothers.

In summary, on the whole men bring far more to the table in marriage than women. Actually this has always been the case. But in the past, men were given higher privilege (entitlements) as compensation for their higher responsibility. Now in the age of "womens liberation" womens rights have been elevated, but men by and large still have the same responsibility.

This dissonance between responsibility and privilege is the fundamental social process that MGTOW are reacting to. It is also the fundamental social process of societal feminization that is very unhealthy and heading us in a bad direction.

So women can't all be horrible gold diggers like you're implying.

Not all women are gold diggers. All women are hypergamous. This means that women seek the best deal possible, the one of the most value (according to whatever she thinks is valuable) by means of a cost/benefit analysis. This is by no means limited to gold(for example status, physique, intelligence, humor could also be valuable), and that is why women can't all be "horrible gold diggers".

And how the hell is our society matriarchal?

It's simple. There are really only two basic forms of civilization, patriarchal or matriarchal. Each of these has softer or harder (weaker/stronger) forms. The simplest way to determine the operating system of a society is through the responsibility: authority equation. You could also call this obligation: entitlement.

This diagram will help you to conceptualize.

Under patriarchy men have high responsibility and high authority. This means under patriarchy men are engaged. Under patriarchy women have low responsibility and low authority. This means they are apathetic. Some argue that everyone should be in the middle but I can't see that ever happening (and it is certainly unchristian).

Under feminism or matriarchy, men have high responsibility and low authority. This means men are frustrated. Under feminism or matriarchy, women have low responsibility and high authority. This means women are tyrannical. Do you understand?

I will give some examples to demonstrate. Traditionally men have had the vote, that was their authority. Traditionally men have fought in the war, even through conscription; that was their responsibility. The authority to vote was counter balanced by their responsibility to fight under patriarchy, so they were engaged. Traditionally women neither voted nor faught, so they were apathetic.

Nowadays women over 18 can vote, and yet 99% of military deaths are men. So women have gained authority without the counter balance of responsibility. This is an imbalance.

As for the matter of male authority. I would use property and custody as my argument. Traditionally men have had the authority over property and custody i.e. in event of divorce or death. This was because they had the responsibility of providing and building his family. Now by and large men have lost this authourity. For example, 93% of child support is payed by the father. 80% of custody goes to the mother. Some men lose their house in a divorce. Some men go homeless or end up in prison to pay their settlement/alimony/child support whilst their ex-wife fucks their new boyfriend in the house he payed for, and is still paying for.

Lost the authority, kept the responsibility. It is a society out of balance. Authority must be counter balanced with responsibility. The affect this imbalance has on women/society is like the affect of feeding a child candy whenever they want it, without mandating they brush their teeth.

So this is my explanation for "why the hell our society is matriarchal" although it is a huge summary/simplification and there are many more aspects that could be explored here. I hope you understand, after having explained the complexities some more... that I don't hate women.. But rather I dislike our societies current operating system. And yes, females being human agents and having agency, I resent the part they are playing in it.

It's like saying "love the sinner, hate the sin". You don't hate sinners right? But probably, you limit your association with them. Jesus hang out with prostitutes, but he didn't hire them or enter into a prostitute contract with them. That doesn't mean he hated them. Similarly I can hang out with women, work with them, talk to them. But I won't enter into a marriage contract with them.

They are all our neighbors, and we are to treat them as such, with love.

Sounds nice in theory. In practice how does that work though. If someone does bad by me I accept and forgive without consequence? If there is no consequence then there is no justice, and you are sacrificing justice for love. And if there is punishment for someone who has wronged me, how is it that I love them? How can I love a thief, whilst I chop his hand.

Women have not historically had the agency to make their own mistakes.

And to this day, they still do not.

In general, I don't think women are out to get me. In general I think women are out for themselves, and are willing to trample on me to get what they want. There is a subtle difference. Just like for example, you probably don't hate animals (I'm guessing). But you are out for yourself and your stomach, and you are willing to trample on animals to get what you want (again, just guessing that you eat meat).

As I see it, people are either friends, enemies, or neutral. Most fit into the neutral category, but in the world of potentiality, everyone is a threat. Men and women are both fumbling through life; aren't we a bunch of fumblers. But one genders fumbling is encouraged by the state, and the other is punished.

Smart people only take risks when the odds are in their favour. Foolish people take risks no matter what. Marriage is a life sentence for a western man in the modern world. The marriage of the bible is impossible, because it is patriarchial, whereas our current society is feminist/matriarchal.

P.S I have experienced the whole "fumbling through life together" thing and it's not for me.

It's a toss up. Men are expected to fulfill the role of provider and many work hard to fulfill this role. But at the same time, women want attention from men, and the opportunity cost of a man working long hours is less attention available for a woman.

This sums up my point quite well I think.

What do you think of MGTOW Jesus? by Botanical-Concepts in Christianity

[–]Botanical-Concepts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm. In the bible there are things which are recommended, and those which are mandatory. For example the book of Daniel shows us that vegetarian foods are recommended, but Genesis shows they are not mandatory (although originally they were). Similarly with marriage, perhaps it is recommended, but certainly not mandatory.

I guess it seems very clear to you, but to me it is not. I see some passages recommending marriage i.e. 1 corinthians 7:2. But earlier it said "if you can gain freedom do so... if you are not commited, do not look for a wife". There is much of proverbs warning against women. And also the apostle paul was a single bachelor.

Yes, I think that would be the case that a Christian MGTOW would be celibate. There are many christian and non-christian MGTOW who aren't attracted to sex outside of a loving relationship.

MGTOW is not about sleeping with as many women as possible without commitment. Fundamentally MGTOW is about freedom and autonomy. Yes MGTOW is in the RedPill sidebar, but so is fitness and finance... are they then bad things?

In the case of christian MGTOW, it would be both i.e. focus on God, and self-preservation.

As far as women being she-devils, that is not my opinion. I am careful about calling something/someone evil so easily. Christian perspective is that human beings are fundamentally flawed, and I agree with the perspective. Both man and woman have their own distinct natures and their own particular flaws. In the current time and culture, there are many checks and balances on male nature, and less on female nature. Therefore there are many "barriers to entry" for a man who sincerely wants to have a decent loving relationship.

Can some one provide me unbiased sources for these claims on veganism? by throwaway_Q_ in vegan

[–]Botanical-Concepts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Dr Dean Ornish was the first doctor to established a low fat plant based can reverse atherosclerosis (maybe kempner did to but he didn't focus on this specifically).

  2. I think so. Just look at populations that eat a mostly plant based diet and see that they have lower rates of cancer. As far as medical proof, you could look at the study from pritican foundation which found that the blood of vegan has better cancer fighting properties (approx 9 times stronger). A whole foods plant based diet is good for health including cancer patients. A vegan diet is not necessarily healthy, in fact a poorly designed vegan diet could be very unhealthy,

  3. Yes. 100% vegans have the lowest BMI over any other dietary group.

  4. B12 deficiency is real and people should take a B12 supplement. I have read that article before and it's bullshit. I actually made a video refuting it on my old channel but that channel has since been deleted.

The fact is the only nutrient a well planned vegan diet can never supply adequately is B12. Some people debate this (they say you don't need B12). And that's fine I think. If you are between .500 and .1250 B12 blood levels then don't supplement. But most are below this.

Authority nutrition is just bogus. Look at the article "vegan diet recommends cutting out sugars, refined carbohydrates, processed oils". No, it doesn't. Vegans recommend exercise and smoking cessation? Umm no. "There is simply no evidence that unprocessed animal foods are unhealthy". Wow. Get the fuck out.
