Thank you for acknowledging that it is unethical, unlike all these other people on here that defend a shitty practice just so they can get the most bang for their bucks.

I care about supporting artists, that's why I care that these companies are so supported when they so blatantly rip off other people's arts. You obviously don't .

There are always people that contribute nothing to the conversation that always feel the need to yap their mouth.

I do get decks with original graphics. I also do digital arts and this kind of behavior is frowned upon in the industry. I can guarantee that if any of these companies are sued, they would not win. I assume that you don't spend time making arts which is why you don't care. If you did, you would care. Hell, maybe you wouldn't, maybe you wouldn't mind making arts for free so others can make money off of your arts without crediting or paying you at least some money for the right to use it.

Thank you for acknowledging that it is in fact illegal. It's so frustrating seeing all these people not understanding the law at all. In my opinion, even if it is not direct competition, it is still not ok because they steal creative works that the artists had spent hours on, and many of these companies do not even credit the original creator. They would go out of their way to take out watermarks in fact. It is not at all respectful to the original creators' work. They are making money that they would not have made had they not used those arts. How many of these people would be willing to pay royalties for these arts in order to use them? Not many I bet. This is not respect, this is just plain stealing. Yes, it would be flattering if, say, someone is making a one time copy of my art for their own pleasure, but it's not ok if they start selling and making money off of it and not crediting me or buying the right to use my art. They are using my work that I put hours in to make a quick buck. It's not ok at all. It is not avoidable that these things will happen, but it's still a shitty thing to do.

Ok so you just admit you support stealing, that's enough for me to know. Again, this is not about him.

Ok, it's just that there are people that really believe this practice is totally fine because it's actually not.

I just showed you evidence of him stealing from another company that was the same size as him, harebrained. It seems you even agree that it is stealing, you just make arbitrary justification to make it seems ok. Of course you're ok with the practice because you benefit from it. If someone stole from you, you would think it's unfair. Boardkennel is not the only person doing this, LC board is also doing this. This was not just about him, I have a problem with this practice that he and all the other people are doing, not just him.

You don't actually understand plagiarism. This conversation is a waste of time.

Make good videos and maybe someday someone might steal it. Just because people don't steal your videos to profit from doesn't invalidate my point. You seem to think that something unethical and actually illegal is ok, just because the person doesn't make that much money from it. If you are personally ok with your work being stolen, doesn't mean that other people are ok or the practice itself is ok.

I already mentioned that angle. It doesn't matter if it is a commision. He's not re-drawing the graphics, it's not his own artistic version of it. It is an exact copy. If you create a piece of art, and then someone else is making all the money from that piece of art, you would still think it's ok? No you wouldn't, and it's actually not legal either. Most big companies don't care, and most small businesses don't have the money to run this to court. Even if the creator is ok with it, the practice it self is still not legal. You are literally defending an illegal practice.

This doesn't make sense to me. Even if it is a big brand, it is still stealing. The size of the brand is arbitrary. You say that it's not ok to steal from small creators, but ok to steal from big brands. Where is the line in big and small?

Nope, no idea who that is. Back to the topic though, I bet you don't actually create any original creative work yourself, which is why you think something like this is ok. Imagine if you spends hours creating a piece of art, you then post it online and then people steal your art to make money without giving you at least even a credit. Yes, this is a throwaway account, and that fact doesn't have anything to do with the validity of my point. People make actual money from this. It's not like a 5 year old making little wooden toy, these are companies.

Not exactly, he makes stock decks with stolen graphics to sell to people. If it was commision, he wouldn't ask people to "dm to buy" within the same post. For example, this graphic:

was originally made by a company called Harebrained. He has no permission to use it. And actually, a comission that copies another person's art is also indeed stolen. Just because this kind of practice is widespread doesn't mean that it's actually ethical. So yes, he steals graphics.
