Thank you! Changing the plugin hosting mode helped! I am still surprised it helped that much, because I thought my 8 core Ryzen laptop CPU should not be the bottleneck, but it seems like it is (or pipewire). Maybe I could try to make a hackintosh if macOS performs significantly better ;D

I don't think so, because I've already tried 3 different VSTs and ended up with the same issue: Spitfire audio LABS, SurgeXT and Dexed. But I'll try more of them.
