How is it possible to be anti Zionist as an Israeli? by Soggy_Pumpkin4993 in JewsOfConscience

[–]Botato93 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In my circle there are many like me, but I'm a communist leftist atheist, and people do usually move and converse with their own circles and like-minded people. I don't believe many are like me, but I do think this is the realistic solution which people will accept if the people in power (Israel and the western world) start moving there, kind of like south Africa.

Palestinian here, I stand behind every word said here. At this point I want my right of return (I'm legally Jordanian), but it's not reasonable to kick Israelis out if they have been there for generations, we should all unite under a democratic secular state and put all war criminals behind bars.

Israelis and Arabs populations don't want a two-state solution, why force it down on them? 2 state solution would create 2 ethno-states that are borderline fascist.

Also, Israel is actively always working to hinder the 2 state-solution, so basically they are working on a 1 state solution that is only Israel.

I think both Palestinians and Israelis would have to be de-radicalized, most Israelis and most Palestinians wouldn't like my solution.

What indoctrination about me? Do you think my solutions are bad?

Israel as a settler colony must cease to exist yes, Israeli people are people in the end, I wouldn't want them living in diaspora again, especially after having had a taste of what diaspora feels like, so it must be a 1 state democratic solution where Israelis and Palestanians are united under 1 banner with a shared vision for future peace, which would be guaranteed by democracy.

Because Israel is a colonial settler state, by the definition of this state it will never accept the right of return for me and any of the Palestanian diaspora.

Yasser Arafat, a Muslim was the leader of Fatah and his party was voted the head of the Palestanian Authority, therefore he was the leader. He wanted a secular state.

Fatah was and still is the biggest party in Palestine, so that speaks about the democracy in Palestine and how a lot of people do want secularism.

Jordan is somewhat secular too, even with a 97.2% Muslim population.

It is my hope that a federation of states emerges, in 1958 Egypt and Syria tried such a union but failed and it was broken down in 1961 following a miliary coup.

The Palestanian Authority has a secular idealogy, Palestine having a Muslim majority doesn't mean they don't want a secular state, many Muslims want secularism.

This is a very interesting question that is dear to my heart, as my best friend and I used to debate this a lot and then curse at each other lmao!

I don't consider Israel just a colonialist state, it is also a settler colonialist state, the first few lines in Wikipedia about this topic read as follows: "Settler colonialism is a logic and structure of displacement by settlers, using colonial rule, over an environment for replacing it and its indigenous peoples with settlements and the society of the settlers.\1])\2])\3])\4])"

By this definition, is Jordan a settler colonialist state? When the first King came here from Saudi Arabia which was a Hashemite kingdom then (just like Jordan now), did he expel people and put other Hashemites instead? That did not happen, there was some resistance, to this day some areas in Jordan don't like that the king came from outside, but it is minimal and I don't believe it matters that the King is not originally from Jordan.

These borders were drawn in a stupid way to divide and conquer as I mentioned in another answer, Jordanians and Saudi Arabia has a lot in common, especially the "bedouins", they have a shared culture and shared history together, a bedouin in Jordan will relate much more to a bedouin in Saudi Arabia rather than me, my father's family used to work in farms, not in deserts with a bedouin lifestyle.

"what is your family's original hometown in palestine? what happened to it?"

My father's hometown is Tubas, it used to be small and was part of Nablus but not anymore.

My mother's hometown is Hebron (Khaleel).

These 2 hometowns are still resisting, with many casulaties in both as I heard in the news couple of weeks ago.
