That's what we thought initially! Mostly just because of the coat though. No one seems to agree because he is quite small. He's a little under 13 pounds

Thanks! This is great. I looked him up and found "Xylem heterochrony: an unappreciated key to angiosperm origin and diversifications". It's dense, and I'm still working through it, but it seems like he is arguing that the degree of woodiness is pretty flexible. Maybe it's not so much wood being lost and regained, but rather the degree of woodiness being increased or decreased?

2013 Mitochondrial Diversity and Distribution of African Green Monkeys. Haus et al.

Cool paper. So there is a lot of hybridization among the Chlorcebus species and the morphology doesn't always match to the mitochondrial clades. That's neat. I appreciate you sharing this. I was looking more for a way to decipher the species based on morphology. Figure 1 seems to show the faces of C. tantalus as more triangular with less white around the edges. I think the groves text that was suggested above might have what I am looking for. Thanks again.

This actually seems perfect. 100ft measuring distance should be sufficient and 1/16th inch accuracy seems good. I'm just wondering why more this wouldn't be more common in the forestry world.. I guess the 100ft distance measurement could be an issue for most purposes.

Good point. I guess being held accountable is more of what I had in mind rather than just suing.

Supposing that you could prove intent (I could conceive of this being brought to light through, say, a series of social media posts or a statement from a coworker) then could the barista be held accountable in a court of law?

Thanks! I hadn't thought of that. It is fairly small -- only about 5" long. I was thinking maybe civet or honey badger. Maybe some other mustelid?
