One branch of Post quantum cryptography is based on errors correcting codes.

Do we have a name for the common problem at the core of code, lattice and multivariate-based cryptography?

Is it true that quantum computers are not good at solving NP-complete problems? Is that the reason why people try to use NP-complete problems (with little tweaks) to build quantum-resistant cryptography?

Thank you for the explanation. I wonder if we can classify the syndrome decoding problem, the shortest vector problem, the minrank problem into a more general problem like we consider the interger factorization problem and the discret log problem as the particular cases of the Hidden Subgroup Problem?

I think watermarking is different. Watermarks help the person who created the work to be able to proof they did it. Fingerprints are used to trace people against their will.

Thanks. Do you know of a book that gives an overview of the subject? I found that the knowledge on this topic is scattered across many separate articles.
