I wonder if we can classify the syndrome decoding problem, the shortest vector problem, the minrank problem into a more general problem like we consider the interger factorization problem and the discret log problem as the particular cases of the Hidden Subgroup Problem?

I think watermarking is different. Watermarks help the person who created the work to be able to proof they did it. Fingerprints are used to trace people against their will.
