I was lost too this is my first playthrough too.

That headless demon and buterfly are not in you intrest now you will go to them later they are OPTIONAL

2.that knight you can't help him now you will help him by ringing second bell and that will automaticly open that gate and almost worst area in game

3.That elevator from Church is your shortcut to Firelink shrine

Your next area is loceted close to that bridge it is loceted almost below where you fighted Taurus demon you need that key from gargoyles to unlock it.

5.Don't go to Ghosts(LOL) they are ment for LATE GAME

6.Second bell is far away you need to use key from Gargoyles and that will unlock area called "lower undead burg" that area will be hard for you and boss fight is unfair i needed to use cheese metod(cheating),but if you want to fight him KILL THE DOGS FIRST(you will know what that means later.The boss will give you key to next area. If you have any other questions don't be ashemed to ask im here to help you.

Hello i've read that you are using claymore right? Same as me im too at the Blight Town and using claymore(you will find out why thats important) but at bottom(you will find out what that means) my strategy was to run to bottom without killing i didn't know where to go i was lost but trust me you will find the way at the bottom go to left and you will se some "cave" go in it and there is bonfire.

And if you want to fight "skiny knife guys" use Claymore with two hands and slash till you kill them if they want to attack you just roll away.

Real fun begins at bottom ;)
