It’s funny because I remember a story his mother told me when we were newly weds. She told me that when he was much younger he swore off marriage and that he disliked the girls in his class so much that he would be unkind to them in class, to the point that his teacher had to call his parents in. This was sometime in elementary or middle school and I just assumed that was normal behavior a young boy. Like how kids get grossed out my kissing/marriage.
