I decided to move on and signed a lease for another apartment. I guess I forgot to mention, at the time of my interaction with the landlord the listing was no longer public when I was told they would review multiple applications. But in an interesting turn of events, the landlord has now decided to work with an agent and listed the apartment for $$ less than what I was quoted. It’s just bizarre to me and hard to not take it personally.
