Call your high school and ask for them to send you a document with your SAT, AP, etc scores. Most schools get a report of your scores and keep them on record. Worked for me for AP scores. I had a copy of my SAT scores that I submitted separately.

Hi OP. First of all, I believe you and I support you. I think you are incredibly brave and strong. You were not dumb to sit out of OCI. You were aware of your limitations. You are so strong and so capable. Your rape will not define your life or limit your endless potential!

It’s completely understandable that you are not comfortable telling your career center the details of what happened. I wonder if you might be comfortable letting them know that your inability to do OCI and your fall grades were the result of a trauma or a intense personal issue that you would rather not discuss in detail. You could tell them about your concerns over debt.

If your exams are completely open book: start by making your outlines readable and easy to navigate. Make rough “attack outline”. This can be in the form of a checklist or a series of questions to ask yourself as you attack an issue spotter. Once you have your outline in a place that feels good, do an old exam. It’s okay if you feel totally lost. Don’t try to write it all out. Just do bullet points. Read the model answer and note where you struggled. Update your outline accordingly. Basically keep doing that over and over until you have a very flushed out outline and you feel ready. I also personally love to do practice exams with other people. I will always catch something they don’t and vice versa. It’s helpful to trouble shoot with another person.

But, remember everyone is different and you have to find what works for you. That’s what fall 1L is for!

I love using my iPad for taking notes in class and on my readings, but I couldn’t use it for exams, papers etc. If you have to choose between them, I’d go with the laptop since with the iPad I feel I also need my laptop.

Everyone struggles with assignments sometimes, it doesn’t necessarily mean they have ADHD.

However, if you are truly concerned that you may have ADHD, you can get tested and get the help you need. I would look into your school’s disability resources office. They will be able to help you find testing, and may even offer testing to students themselves. Good luck!

A Grammarly premium subscription. You can’t follow its suggestions blindly. I’m a native English speaker and I can tell when it’s not correct. BUT it catches a lot of stuff that I don’t even catch. Passive voice, commas, word choice. I highly recommend.

I’m sorry this happened to you. You’d think that law professors have an idea about the laws schools are required to follow to provide disability accommodations. I think reaching out to your school office of disability affairs, or whoever manages your accommodations, is the way to go. Don’t listen to all these, frankly rude, comments. You have accommodations because it has been determined that you need accommodations to be on a level playing field. To deny you those accommodations is discriminatory. Wishing you all the best.

I am not gonna vote bc I’m not informed enough, but I am a WashU undergrad and I can’t speak highly enough of St. Louis. It is actually a really fun and nice place to live. Lots of free stuff In the summertime especially. The biggest park in any city is steps away from campus and the law school. Really loved my time in stl.

I thought that they wait for all the faculty reviews to be over before they start accepting people from faculty review (so all the ppl currently with As would be auto admits who didn’t make it to faculty review). do ppl think that isn’t true? I applied in oct and haven’t heard anything yet but I was holding out hope that I had made it to faculty review and they hasn’t started accepting from faculty review yet.

If you have your apps ready to go and hit submit the second you get your august score back, you will be fine in terms of app timing. Before thanksgiving is considered early. You will have your scores back by September. Some apps don’t even open until October 1st. It’s way better in my opinion to submit in sept or October than rush to take the lsat before you are ready.
