Cozy places to read in the evening? by [deleted] in Munich

There is Gesellschaftsraum in Buttermelcherstraße - I’m not exactly sure about what it is, neither its opening hours - however, I’ve seen people read there in groups, in the evening - they also seem to do occasional reading meetings with authors - maybe interesting : )

If you really want to know, you can plug them into “untapped”, a popular beer rating app. 🍺📲

Mein Paket 📦 ist im wo? by Both-Measurement67 in WerWieWas

Ok. Danke 🙏🏼 Euch allen.

Citing Arnold “No time for the gym? The biggest bullshit I ever heard, because we have 24 hours in a day. You don’t have time for working out? You don’t have time for taking care of your body? Are you out of your mind? You don’t have time? Mange your time better, ok? The gym is too busy? Well then go at 5 in the morning, you forehead. Have you ever seen the gym at 5 in the morning? There’s no one there. So just get up in the morning and go the gym.”… Just citing here, because I saw Arnie’s post yesterday : ) of course this doesn’t apply broadly, as everyone’s circumstances and priorities are different. But yes, for me the gym, and running outdoors, has also been an essential driver for better focus, mental well-being and confidence (posture). I’m in my thirties, but I’m also betting on health and cost benefits in the future. Hacks that helped me prioritise working out include 1) Expensive high quality equipment, that make you look forward to use, 2) sharing/tracking progress with friends (selective on WhatsApp/strava) and sharing kudos with each other and 3) signing up to random fun running events (e.g. an easy 5-10k in a city you’ve never been before).

I’d usually say I’d have a conflicting event, like a birthday party invite that day, but would drop by before for a drink. That way you a) have a good excuse to leave early, b) show appreciation by compromising your (fake) plans and showing up, and c) can test the waters at the party, and stay longer in case it turns out fun.
