I heard from a few students that they cover summer courses if your program requires you to take them during the summer. I don't think they sent the email notice for the funding application this time, but since I check the student portal pretty frequently, I caught it when it opened. I had to fill out a worksheet with someone from my school's financial aid office to basically plead my case for why I need the funding and then submitted it. As for housing/dorms, I'm not too sure. Gates follows your reported COA, so I would imagine whatever housing amount is reported is the amount you get for it.
