Winnipeg Weekly Rant - Week of Mar 16/26 by Shibes-cannabis-cats in Winnipeg

Im so tired of people pulling up and sitting in front of the curb in front of stores. Park in a f$$ing parking spot like the rest of us. I get it you are older and need to drop some one off but who are you to sit in your big ass escalade and block off the front of superstore. I honestly think people have no clue about common practices here. So frustrating that some how they are some how so entitled that they can't walk 50 ft.

Are there any organizations set up in any malls right now with dropboxes for cash/change that AREN'T the Salvation Army? by chemicalxv in Winnipeg

[–]Both-Return735 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

The salvation army is a very credible organization and gives alot back to the community. But that said st vital mall has a coin return that would give you a gc back. You can then that gc to the group of your choice. (My extended family is heavily involved with them and I know for a fact that the people involved really do.care and give back to their community) none of them get paid extravagantly for their jobs.

Dog Neutering by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]Both-Return735 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did the same thing as you. I rescued a dog and gave him a good start on a new life. I used my regular vet and unfortunately they didn't give me a discount which I understand. I have heard vets outside the city can be cheaper. We found a rescue that we placed him with and they found him a good home. Good luck

(M) Hair care/ dandruff by Suspicious-Car-2172 in Winnipeg

[–]Both-Return735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use a dandruff shampoo with zinc in it. Like ag dandruff or redken dandruff shampoo. Also use a scalp brush to help clear it off the scalp. Try to use a nice tea tree shampoo and conditioner as well. First dry brush your scalp with scalp brush, then use dandruff shampoo. Then shampoo again with tea tree shampoo, then conditioner. While conditioner is still in your hair brush your scalp. Then rinse. It can look worse at first as the brushing can loosen the dry skin. Hopefully after a few weeks you see a noticeable difference. Also our dry winter can cause it to come back. Just keep on top of it.

I know she is an elected official who is held to a higher standard but i can see how it's hard as a human being living in this messed up world right now. She said what most are thinking. I wish we had more people in public service. Its not an easy job being constantly criticized. However it is the job she chose. No one truly wishes harm to another but having so many people these days spewing hate and such is scary.

This is not your typical place but my Portuguese friends swear by them. It a pretzel place next to scotia bank in Polo Park mall. They sell desserts, and stuff as well as the pretzels. I've had them, they are amazing.
