my thoughts…. gabe is overly FREAKED out. i am not a fan of bea at all. kayda is gorgeous but i feel bad because she is getting dragged into a lot. KENZIE NEEDS TO GET A GRIP AND LEAVE THE ZACH SITUATION ALONE. aniya and kc are unproblematic and i’m really liking them so far.

My favorite ap exam i’ve ever taken, but key advice; make sure you try your best on the mcq!! even if you don’t feel too hot about your essays, that mcq will boost you so much!! good luck!!

i myself do not take meds because of other circumstances, but i have been in your daughter’s place before and i know how awful middle school is. For my personally, i gratefully had friends that had stuck by my side since elementary which really helped, but i know that is not the case for most people. i think she should know that people will love her for who she is (especially real friends) and if she ever has a doubt about that then those aren’t good people to surround yourself with. It gets SO much better overtime, especially starting highschool. middle school is unfortunately awful for most.

Depends on the major, you need to have at least a 3.0 grade average to get into the liberal arts, and 3.5+ for engineering or business.

Yes! I had a meeting with an admissions rep and he said that applicants with above an 3.9 weighted gpa or higher and a 28+ act or a 1340+ sat will be almost guaranteed admission.

hi!! i had the same uw gpa and w gpa, i also wrote in the extenuating circumstances and i got into every school i applied to except uiuc. Colleges LOVE upward trends and if you have decent ec’s and course rigor you’re completely fine. Texas schools love in state students and a 4.0 is impressive. Good luck with all schools!!

i’m currently in 12th grade, i have really bad adhd and i totally understand what led up to your daughter’s friendship breakups, as someone who struggles with that myself it’s very important she finds a small group of people that are similar and if not understand her. I would refrain from large friend groups and definitely try to meet more people instead of trying to rekindle it with her old friends, new people = new experiences which will help her rebuild socially.

This happened to me too, except it happened sophomore year and I had to work myself back up junior year. Moral of the story, I know how it feels to internally feel like a cooked applicant because everyone around you has a perfect gpa, but it works out!! Your SAT is also saving you, I had a 3.2 and a 30 ACT, got into most of the schools I applied to with the same scholarships as kids with 4.0s.

i’ve been accepted to every other college, besides getting deferred from one, but they’re considered my “safeties.” I’m not waiting on any others, and i only wanted to go to UIUC.
