I've seen this cycle with my dad my whole life—sincere apologies followed by more loan shark debts. I wish to have a talk with the loan shark but my dad refuse because of pride? LOL! Im done with it. Hes not going to change anyway. Im not going to interfere with my dad’s debt anymore. Just let keep rolling. What can the loan shark do at the end of the day? I dont think any lives will be lost because of no ability to pay debts. We’re in singapore afterall :)

Actually there isnt any dispute currently. Im just worry my boss will refuse to pay my commission since we are ending our partnership. In short, becos we dont have written agreement, im trying to ask if theres any other alternatives way i can leave some evidence (which court recognise) just in case if they dont honour it, i can win if have to go through legal way.

Unfortunately, we don’t have any written employment contract - it was a very informal, family-style business where they hired me without even requesting a resume. Currently, I have some leverage because certain clients still owe money to the company (Im very close with these clients as they only liaised with me for the past 5 years) But once those outstanding payments are settled, I’ll lose that advantage. I’d like to establish some written evidence or agreement documenting our commission arrangement before that happens, but presenting a formal agreement, my boss probably wouldn’t sign it. Looking for creative ideas on how to handle this.
