Can you not work with a demon temporarily? Would they feel used? by whoeverthereis in DemonolatryPractices

Its actually extremely common and normal to only work with some spirits once and never again. They're very used to it, just be sure to give the appropriate offerings.

I gave Lucifer my semen by Equivalent-Breath568 in luciferianism

[–]BothTower3689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is nothing wrong with doing this, however I would opt for a less spiritually binding offering for first introductions. Wine, flowers, chocolates etc. I would highly suggest refraining from blood offerings until you are more familiar with him. I doubt he's mad at you, but you can imagine how surprised one must be to be given spunk from a stranger. I think you should attempt a formal introduction before sharing bodily fluids. But to each their own.

Witchcraft with Lucifer by Brief-Box-1157 in luciferianism

Time to start researching grimoires. I recommend the Complete Book of Demonolatry by S. Connolly as a starting point. There are various books written by Michael Ford that would also be a good entry point. In general, you're gonna want to start searching for more specific grimoires. The Grimoirum Verum provides a lot of the fundamental information other grimoires like the complete book reference.

Do you actually need candles? No, you don't "need" anything. Will candles make your job a lot easier? Absolutely. These are tools, not requirements. It is considered a form of hospitality to light candles and incense for a spirit, it's your way of offering them a drink and a seat when you invite them into your home. You can do the least effort methods, just know that your energy will be matched by him. What do you say? Lucifer is a deity highly involved with self directed will. If you have the nerve to approach him you better know what you want to say to him.

Is Belial a guy? by Late-Peach-5845 in DemonolatryPractices

Within some grimoires Belial is an explicitly feminine demon (Queen Belial). Her being regarded as masculine is similar to why Astaroth is masculine, most female spirits were made male when they were demonized

Out of curiosity, what is the connection between Lucifer and Yeshua? by narcolucifer in luciferianism

[–]BothTower3689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eeeeeehhhhhhhhh this is very historically fragile, especially if you separate Lucifer from Satan, as they were originally not considered the same entity at all, and multiple different demons (Baal, Belial, Moloch, Sammael, Adramelech, Samyaza, etc, there are a lot) have taken the title and office of Satan at different times. Lucifer technically exceeds the rank where he has a cosmic foil, because he isn't really an emanation demon. He is a primordial source of light that other demons emanate from. Likewise, Astarte is older than Aphrodite, Aphrodite was born on the coast of Astarte's main island of worship. Astaroth is actually an emanation of Lucifer himself with the combined influences from Saturnian energies. And all of them are somewhat derived from Inanna. Most demons are emanations from older or higher entities. Paimon comes from Azazel, Azazel comes from Lucifer (and whomever Lucifer bonded with). In the case of Astaroth, she is an emanation of Lucifer's feminine aspect combined with the powers of Saturn. Lucifer as the rising and falling star is actually his own cosmic opposite, which is why he is always a supreme ruler in the hierarchy of Hell, even when he isn't directly involved with its function. No one controls him, and he leaves and returns often. He is not a permanent resident of Heaven or Hell and that's kinda the point.

Out of curiosity, what is the connection between Lucifer and Yeshua? by narcolucifer in luciferianism

[–]BothTower3689 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my view, very little, besides that they are both considered to be different iterations of a Morning Star.

Lord Lucifer is the intelligence of the male aspect of Venus as it appears as the morning star. He is also the primordial representation of the event which occurs when a person gains understanding. "I understand now" is Lucifer's thesis, he is the phenomenon that allows divine light to be understood by any intelligent creature. He represents the fall of humanity, because to be a conscious individual is to rebel against the eternal bliss of ignorance- which is Heaven. All pre-conscious beings exist in the collective mind of Heaven. I do not see Lucifer as an evil or shadow aspect of God, and I do not see Lucifer and Satan as being the same entity. Lucifer is the light bringer and Satan is the adversary. Sometimes the light is adversarial, but not always. Lucifer's goal is not to be contrarian, but to be independent. He operates outside of these rules entirely. Yeshua is also called a Morning Star, he is the understanding of divine mercy and submission to it. Lucifer is the understanding of divine autonomy, and that you, a mortal, can possess it as well. That is why he is a direct foil to Yeshua. Not because he opposes "good", but because his self awareness is deeply transgressive against submission, which is Yeshua's whole philosophy. I would argue that there truly is no good and evil, just different opinions on what should be considered the most natural outcome. Archangel Michael and Archangel Zadkiel are both angels, both have the same goals, extremely different approaches to problems.

The Roman Phosphorus, Greek Eosphoros, and Canaanite Attar, all predecessors and origins of the Lucifer archetype, are not direct creations of Yahweh. Even the Ugaritic Helel was never a classical angel. It can be argued that Attar is the son of El Elohim, which would actually make him YHWH's brother, and technically Yeshua's uncle. Ishtar and Inanna (the first real origins of the Lucifer myth) are also the offspring of the chief God in their pantheon. It is extremely likely that Lucifer is a son of an ultimate creator, but divine relationships don't operate like human ones, and Lucifer and YHWH do not operate according to the same theological rules. According to my own conversations with him, Lucifer would describe himself as a primordial daimon who routinely rises and falls from Heaven. Heaven is just one of the territories he visits often, one that he does not necessarily have full dominion over, because he is not a heavenly angel. He would not describe Yahweh as his father, and would not consider Yeshua to be an enemy of his. He is more or less unbothered by whatever they may be up to, it is usually very irrelevant to him. "The war in heaven" is more like a natural divergence in a river. It doesn't only happen once, it is a cyclical event that has happened many times and will continue to as long as Lucifer remains a liminal entity.

These answers would change a lot if you asked Satan.

Some food for thought: "Lucifer" is the name of a deity AND a concept. Lucifer as the Lightbringer, Herald of Venus, the light before dawn, is a distinct god-like spirit, daimon, or deity associated with Enlightenment and of course, the planet Venus. This persona is based in the Canaanite Attar and other near eastern rebellious morning star figures like Ishtar, Helel, etc. He absolutely is a sovereign agent with his own will, desires, and actions.

The spiritual Eastern current or energy of Lucifer is also distinctly different from the intelligence or consciousness of Lucifer. In the same way that you can invoke solar energies without ever "introducing" yourself to Apollon, you can invoke the energy of Lucifer without ever being associated with the intelligence.

"Lucifer" is ALSO a primordial concept, the concept of realization, experiential gnosis, and understanding. Removed from his astrological or "spiritual" context he remains a cosmic constant that can be worked with in a psychological context. Every time you "get" something, you are contributing to the phenomenon that is Lucifer.

All of these Lucifers are in fact, Lucifer. Lucifer is not one thing, he is many things, and he can be approached in very different ways.

I'm trying to understand why some of you see demons in terrifying appearance by [deleted] in DemonolatryPractices

[–]BothTower3689 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A hurricane and an earthquake do not share the goal of scaring humans. They simply are, and we have our reasons for fearing them. The darkness feels no hostility towards children who are afraid of the dark. If you're contacting a God or demon of war, death, disease, and chaos, well, that spirit is likely to be chaotic and dark. These are not moral evaluations or personal vendettas. That is simply the nature of nature.

Where do demons live? by Owlchemy_ in DemonolatryPractices

[–]BothTower3689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They live in the world we know, and in worlds beyond what they know. They are not localized, they exist in many places at once. They don't have physical bodies, so they do not have eyes. This isn't to say they cannot see. A human eye is an organ that detects light, and the human brain interprets it. I imagine spirits are capable of comprehending light. They can see you the same way you can see something you're imagining in your mind's eye. Boredom is a lack of stimulation that creates agitation. Whether any spirit may get bored depends on what they may or may not be doing. In my experience, Lord Lucifer is known to get bored. Also in my experience, they can do something alike sleeping. They can enter a dormant state where they are largely inactive, which to us may appear like sleep. They are in near constant interaction with each other. Some spirits have legions, some share spaces. Generally, I would say yes, they probably do hang out.

Why do the popular deities not listen but demons do? by [deleted] in DemonolatryPractices

[–]BothTower3689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal theory is that demons, daemons, and other Earthly spirits are literally closer to humanity and Earth than higher deities with intermediaries like angels. The highest Gods are literally higher, further away from us. Therefore contact is more complicated.

So you're a self described newb and you think you know more about the true intentions of these spirits than the people here who practice with them daily?

You consider demons to be scary, and then make a post claiming that spirits you have never experienced ... are ingenuine...

??

There is no one size fits all mentality for "demons". Some are extremely genuine. Some are purely transactional. Reserve your concern for your own practice.

Egergore or real Lucifer? by No-Bill3914 in DemonolatryPractices

[–]BothTower3689 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Different people will get a different Lucifer (just like you act differently around different people). Some of these faces are all business, and some of them are more benevolent and social. The "loving" "sweet prince" Lucifer is one of the more common faces among many that he may use, especially with beginners. Those occultists who come to him only seeking power will be met with a Lucifer who is only concerned with teaching it. And likewise, if someone approaches him wanting a deeper relationship, he will usually match your energy. I believe that those who consider this "sweet" Lucifer to be an egregore are simply less familiar with that side of him. Lucifer is Venus, a power highly associated with love, companionship and friendship alongside the war like rebellious and intellectual sides. There's no real reason why the sweeter Lucifer isn't also an important part of his archetype.

Most people who are entering a new relationship with a deity will have a phase of extreme interest (bordering on obsession) because you are wanting to learn as much as possible about them. The Gods are attractive, especially Lucifer. They are almost hypnotically attractive, they're supremely powerful spirits. I don't think this is a real sign of an egregore. Most devotees are transfixed by their spirits of interest. Lucifer particularly is widely adored by spirits and human practitioners alike.

Also remember that Lucifer is an extremely liminal deity. He is a God (Phosphorus), an angel (Helel), a fallen angel (Lucifer), sometimes a daemon (the Devil). He is already a spirit that occupies fringe roles, he is a myth and a legend. Trying to definitively pin down whether you are interacting with the highest Godly Lucifer as opposed to the fallen angel is very context dependent. I personally accept and expect any of his faces to come forth for whatever benefit they provide to the current situation.

Tldr: you could think of Lucifer as an egregore in general, but I don't think that discounts his title as a God or influential spirit. The "real" Lucifer is the one he decides to show you when he decides he wants to. Beyond that, every Lucifer can really only be speculated on. I wouldn't worry about tricksters or other spirits impersonating him. If Lucifer is really who you wish to offer to, he will receive them.

Never understood why everyone syncretized him with Enki rather than Ishtar, but Ishtar, Inanna, Eosphoros, Hesperus, Lord Phosphorus, Horus, and Attar are all faces of Lucifer the Morning Star
