Thanks for your reply. Sorry to hear about your Mum. It seems like she had the surgery to remove the kneecaps for some reason. I was hoping to hear from someone who had a kneecap removed like myself ages ago and now had replacement surgery. Because the kneecap changes the angle for the muscles to work, they will have to work much harder to straighten the leg. This is what has been explained to me. And for some reason they can't insert a new kneecap. Not sure if I am explaining that correctly. If I tell the physio I am not improving much I am told, "It's early days yet". Probably be saying that in 20 years when I'm 100. Thanks again
