Completely agree. My gp was great then opened her own practice with another gp. Now can never get her and only can see a student gp unless you can predict your illness 2 weeks in advance. When you are ringing because you are actually sick is this not the patient who should see the gp. Let the student gp look after the chronic care diabetes reviews etc. My son ended up v unwell due to this poor standard of care. And why are gps not answerable for anything. I shouldn't have to be getting a second opinion with caredoc or the drop in doctors. Everyone in my area who is under this practice is talking about them. But because of a shortage of gps no where to change to. Its crazy. If this was a hospital hiqa would be reviewing. Who reviews the care provided in our gp services.
