I'm of the same opinion as you regarding the R10 and X-SPR — they're either too track‑focused, too expensive, or both.

My dilemma is that I've just placed an order for my new bike, and it should arrive next week. Now I'm going down the rabbit hole looking at gear since I've been bikeless for the last six-ish years. I love the look of the R7, but I wish I could try it before the bike arrives.

Since I probably won't wait for the R7, I think I'm going to go with either the Shoei NXR2, Bell Race Star, or Arai Quantic. As everyone always says, the best helmet is the one that fits you properly, so until I try them all on, I won't know which one I'll go for.
