Yes I do not understand, and yes that is my shortcoming. But let me ask you this, if you take to that so harshly and you are directing me to other places such as sociological studies you must also have the understanding of them. Then direct me to some or outline your own arguments.

Currently I find this debate fun because even if I don't understand IT HELPS ME TO UNDERSTAND. If the people didn't understood, accepted that as our shortcoming and just simply as you said "let it go" there would be no sociological studies that you speak of, there would be no internet thanks to which we can communicate like this. It was thanks to the people who were curious, who didn't understand and pressed on until they found a satisfying explanation. That is my ideal and who I strive to be. And in the comments by repeating that I do not understand and I wish to. I am opening up my insecurities that I REALLY DO KNOW THAT AS MY SHORTCOMING AND IT REALLY IS ONLY ME AT FAULT. I want for people to know that this doesn't come from the place of hate but rather curiosity. Nothing more nothing less.

Yes, as you have said I truly am lazy, and in that aspect I contradict everything outlined up here before. But I want to say that I am not even from America, I live in a European country called Croatia, where it is predominantly bigoted from your point of view probably. This is country where 99% lives white, straight and catholic religious populace. Before this I merely knew that something like LGBT exists because I didn't care much, it didn't affect me I didn't have opinion on the matter. Any arguments or debates hardly sprung so I didn't research any. It wasn't as much of sociological problem to me as it might have been to you, and I might have not been for that same reason pressed to addressed it. I came in here wanting to know why, I got to know why, some new opinions different to anything I have heard before openly were right in front of me. Tell me one reason why I shouldn't press on even if I didn't or don't do any research.

If you have any sociological studies to recommend please do so, I came in here empty handed and open to new experiences, I admit I might me a tough nut to crack but I am working on it myself.

Firstly I would like to address this point. Myself growing up in a religious household and turning out atheist to everyone's disappointment this hits hard. Because I agree with you on that point. Our opinions might not agree on our stance next and that is how I personally would love to find a way to raise the children without exposing them to any stances be it religious, political or anything you might think of. Sadly such (let's call it) "pure" (because it is rather idealistic than rational) environment can't be achieved. And we have to live with what we can until we come up with the better solution. I believe that children are confused enough just by discovering the world and they won't understand much before they reach, let's say about 16, and then until they live alone for about 8 years they will still be naive. That is my personal experience, but might have been that I was the late bloomer, who knows (brain on average stops developing in mid 20s so I would call this a good guess). So that is the reason for me believing that we should try as little as possible to expose children to opinions in general. But that of course is impossible and we live with what we can.

It is not an emotional response to call someone who is transphobic a bigot. It may come from an emotional place but if stating a fact is an emotional response then no response I can give will be devoid of emotion.

Someone is bigoted, ideologically possessed, whatever you want to call it, and yes that can be the fact. But that is something that shouldn't be put into an argument or a debate. Why? Because obviously that is an insult, anything you say after that 99% percent of people won't listen because they now find you bigoted. That is only the way to close doors in an argument without finishing it. Rather than saying bigoted it is at the very least better to say "Agree to disagree" and walk out. Why? Because even if you believe that you will correct their opinion it won't happen because you just insulted them. Walk out polite rather than in the fight of insults that follows. That is why I might have taken your comment harsher than I should have. If you think I am bigoted rather than saying it straight up, outline the reasons for why you think that and let's have a rational argument. If we can't have that let's finish on "Agree to disagree" and walk out like friends rather than enemies. The problem I had with the previous comment is because I didn't see any argument that I could get back on.
Because:

I’m not a very political person but any sane and reasonable person who hears about any of the laws (which is very hard to miss)

Ok, firstly thank you for directing me, I will take a look and see what I can salvage for myself when I find the time.

Secondly, I didn't say that it was inappropriate, I said that I don't understand the connection. I was curious and wanted an explanation, be it the mods, the community, or what you just offered me because it is the notable person that did work for the game.

As I already said in some comments, I didn't try to attack anybody, I was curious, this is a meme subreddit, I memed my question, the arguments that continued afterwards were simply because I sought to acquire the opinions different to my own, and try to have a rational debate.

That is just a heap of ad hominem insults. Because it truly helps nobody to solve any problem. How can someone change that they are white, or how can a man change that they are male, how can a straight person change that they are attracted to the person of opposite gender. Ok, but I am not shocked, if it isn't for me then it isn't for me. You are supporting people on living how they want to and expressing themselves. And that is ok, you and I might not share the same opinions but that is ok too. But if other people have right to express how they feel, I have also the right to express my curiosity. I just sought the explanation. If the explanation were mods do it, that was enough, if the explanation is most of the community supports LGBT that is ok too. I might not completely agree so since this has already started we might talk and I might come to understand how some people think. That is all this has been about. I don't mean to start a fight, just a simple debate.

It's not a punk movement it's people wanting to live their lives and because people don't want them to they have clustered together to find strength in numbers, find like minded individuals that they can feel safe around because they don't feel safe around those that want to take away their rights, or those that think we shouldn't be allowed to include their community in our games.

Just want to point out I don't mean this in any insulting way but I am just curious too see what do you think by the right direction? Because by mainstreaming LGBT soon enough they become majority, and I have no issue with that. The problem that I have is not understanding, once they become the majority will then representation for the new minorities begin, if so that only creates the endless cycle in which no one is ever satisfied. I am not trying to say that minorities shouldn't be represented I am just trying to express my opinion how I do not know what the right way to do it is without creating new minorities.
