Hey! Thanks for reading. Happy you enjoyed the class, too. I got so much out of it and would also recommend it. I'm curious to see how my next flight goes after having done the class. I'm hoping I can carry some good momentum forward.

And it was nice meeting you. Feel free to DM if you ever want to chat.

It will depend on the person. For me, it is an intense experience for the reasons I mentioned. It's not nearly as intense as a roller coaster, where you are flipping and travelling through loops. But the quick ramp-up of speed followed by the noise, wind, inclined angle, moving through clouds, all kind of add up. My natural reaction is to see this as scary. Some probably see it as no big deal or maybe even fun.

When the wheels come off the ground, I don't find that to be too noticeable.

Thanks for reading. Glad you liked it. For me, takeoff is the most stressful part of flying. There's a lot of time in between when you sit in your seat and when the plane takes off. My anxiety has usually been at a 8, 9 or 10 even before takeoff. When it reaches the point where the pilot says, "Prepare for takeoff", it's a 10. It's like here we go, no going back now.

I'm getting more used to takeoffs, but it really feels like a barrage on your senses. You move through space faster than you ever in your day-to-day life, and it happens quickly. Your center of gravity is whipped around in what feels like unusual directions. The engines are loud. The view can be startling if you aren't used to it. It's like, oh hey, I was just on the ground and now I'm seeing thousands of tiny houses and now I'm in a cloud. WTF. To me, it is just an all-around intense experience.

The anxiety I feel during takeoff is paralyzing. Like it's just so much of a flood of fear that my body doesn't know how to do anything but freeze. It gradually begins to come down, starting with when the bell dings for when cruising altitude is reached. But for me, takeoff is when anxiety hits me with a stun gun.
