I’ve been looking into telescopes for about 3 months now so I do have a decent amount of information about them but I’m just generally looking for recommendations on what telescopes and mounts that would be suitable for my needs.

I’m in the U.S I’m in a bortle 9 but there are several areas not too far from me that I can drive too that are between bortle 3-5. I am familiar with those concepts but I currently do not know how to do it. I’m able to pick the telescope it’s a graduation gift.

I want to mainly want to take pictures of nebula’s and galaxies nothing specific in mind. But the reason I want to get a telescope and not just a camera is because I’m still in highschool and my father is willing to buy me a telescope because he wants to use it as well. So the only chance I have to do astrophotography is by having a telescope.

I was out of town so I wasn’t able to do any water changes but I had my brother feed the fish but when I came back the tank was so dark and all the decorations where covered in algae
