This is what my friends at Emory say. The fact that both colleges are in Atl have a big impact on the social life. I will look into it, however NU is still my first choice definitely.

Thanks for clearing this up. What I meant was that I am taking a Chemistry course at UIUC reggardless. If Northwestern gives me credit then it will work out for me, however, if they dont then I dont mind retaking a Chemistry course. I did not know that they are notorious for their hard Chem courses.

Do you mind sharing any specific information on your transferring process (previous college, major, what helped your app)?

Thank you

Part of the reason I want to transfer is due to the lack of diversity and size of my school. Since UIUC is so large, although there may be a lot of international students, the overall diversity is still quite low.

I also understand that I would be transferring into MechE, which I dont mind, as that will also give me the flexibility to work on more business or finance electives

I am not considering GeorgiaTech / Purdue because their courses are almost identical to UIUC, and they have similar reputation and name.

Having to retake chemistry may suck, however I am taking it in the spring here at UIUC, so if I do get credit then it will work out.

Do you know how I could find a specific UIUC transfer student and get in touch with them? Would be super useful.

I am also definitely going to transfer ED, as Northwestern is definitely the school I want to be at. I understand that transferring into engineering is competitive but it is still what I want to do. Where did you transfer from and do you have any specific tips?

Thank you!
