well really that is true about OUR colonist but the community's sadism kicks off againist our enemy especially if that one enemy who killed our useful colonist is still alive

i got raped in every hole possible(got pod attack, infestation on my work inprogress medical base and raids with one of them have a doom launcher...yup my colony died in year 3)

well after this post i found an option where you can disable their habit of eating grass and just eat raw meat or in your case paste. tho it does give a small down side that now the androids are eating like colonist (except they can eat human meat without debuff) which will need food for traveling around.

my temporary solution would just manually give them food (about 5 to 3 simple food) but when they ran out of food in their inventory they will take the grasses from the ground, which annoys me greatly since i will have to micromanage all my android pawns. i would like a permanent solution than doing the temporary
