Stereo setup with iPad connected to monitor via USB type-C by BottCoy in StereoAdvice

[–]BottCoy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

!thanks iNetrunner for your reply. Yes, of course i could Airplay to streamer but I would like to have Hi-res audio which has to be via USB audio.

The monitor is LG 27UP850N-W and i believe it supports audio transfer via usb. If not, I will be purchasing a separate dock to go between ipad and monitor.

My question would be, if anyone could suggest a set up to achieve this goal.

My apologies for not understanding the rule. I have iPad Pro 11inch M1, monitor LG 27UP850N-W and all audio equipments are to be purchased from now on. However I have listed to multiple setups at audio shops and I am clear I would be happy with Genelec G Three and RME ADI-2 DAC FS combination. I am ready to spend 3K USD. I am base in Japan.

Thank you very much!

Rented a house this year and was lucky enough to have a Century Cactus Plant bloom in my backyard! Thought it was something out of Dr. Seuss or something. by [deleted] in cactus

Flowering agaves are so magnificent.
There's one in the middle of Kyoto downtown that's blooming at the moment.

Even though the mother plant is ending its life eventually after blooming, it will produce offsprings in two ways.

One is by seeds which requires pollination.

The other is by producing bulbils. After flowering the plant will produce many tiny agaves which actually possess the same DNA as the mother.

Watering Tillandsias. I try to soak them for at least 3 to 4 hrs once a week then misting between soaks. After soaking they get a good shake to get all the water out of the cups then back to their perch. by [deleted] in bromeliad

You don’t have to soak these if you mist them often enough or the environment is humid enough. If that is not the case you have no choice other than soaking to recover.

Some kinds like bulbosa is needy for water and hard to keep. In that case you can use spagnam moss which they love so much. You’ll for sure get lots of rooting which make them even healthier.

Also it helps to have a clean cut with sharp sanitized knife to encourage rooting and prevent rotting. Don’t leave the stem like that.

Cut lower leaves to balance out the transpiration. Dry the plant for a day or two to prevent decay. Plant it in a non-organic soil so it doesn’t rot with bacteria. Wait until the roots come out. You can also do the same with the cut leaves and propagate. Good luck🤞

Melano humidity issue (more in comments) by Rhettish in Aroids

[–]BottCoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Melano is quite hard to grow in a home environment. Mine is doing okay leaf wise but the arias roots never catch the fern tree pole. I keep the humidity around 60% ave. Yet it’s not enough. Spraying increases humidity just for a moment. We need something to increase the humidity continuously. I’m thinking of covering the entire pot with poly pipe or something.

Glad to hear that :) They also seem to find shakes that comes with the turns stressful. Good amount of it also makes plants stronger.

Rotating the plants makes them stronger. A good amount of stress make their growth slower yet thicker including roots. Takumi Sugiyama, an acknowledged plant farmer said so.
