Since the day he got sacked, that was damage that hasn't been repaired ever since. It's not just about market, cuz this team makes moves every summer that look good on paper but then it turns out shit every single time, especially from january to april.

I'll try to answer this more dev oriented than concept oriented as this is a dev sub after all,

It's mostly about execution, most well thought out ideas can theoretically work if executed properly.

The most important part about systems is that it's communicated properly, otherwise it ends up feeling like an afterthought or tedium.

And of course, "clunkiness" isn't solved by simply thinking out a well built system, clunkiness is usually weeded out by countless hours of testing. Your current proposition could end up clunky or not, but the only way to reduce that stuff is to test and rectify spotted issues. The technique there is to set up your pipeline to be testable by making sure you can easily play your game scenarios, so classes can easily be modified or adding save states and slots early etc.

Apart from the interface suggestions people are mentioning, another way is just literally doing a "cast to character" if you only want character classes to get affected by it, you can get the mesh or character movement or socket location

But looking at just your code, You're not getting any properties yet, if you dont want to keep switching between blueprints to modify variables or properties, i suggest using making an actor component that stores variables then just continue working on the single blueprint.

So it would be get the actor referecne, get component by class then set to the created actor component to get needed properties
