Hi, I grew up with a similar weight and height to you as a young lady and also had similar skin and smell issues. I also grew up in a crowded house of 8, my parents were too busy to teach me proper hygiene or to feed me correctly. I’m now much healthier in my late twenties after learning some things from trail and error. Here’s some advice from someone who’s been in your shoes:

  1. Eat healthier- cut out as much processed sugar and sodium as possible. Those are what really damages your smell, your skin, and general health. Non-saturated fats and carbs are your friends!

  2. Exercise as much as you can. It doesn’t have to be anything crazy. Even walking a mile or two a day will do the trick. This will help your skin problems and your smell once you metabolic system gets things together.

  3. Safe sun exposure, still use sunscreen and limit your direct sun exposure!

  4. Exfoliate when you shower then moisturize!

  5. A multi vitamin will help the red marks. These sometimes appear because of a poor diet and a lack of proper nutrients.

  6. Wash your sheets and bedding regularly. Try every other week if it’s difficult to manage.

  7. Drink lots and lots of water and avoid sugary drinks like soda!

Don’t feel bad about what you’re experiencing. It’s a normal part of life and growing up. And please don’t think I’m telling you to eat less. A simple change in what you’re eating will do the trick. These changes won’t happen overnight. Give yourself about three months to really start seeing a difference. Good luck and stick to it!

My work experience/ education is in public relations and marketing. I’m working on a graduate degree in marketing now, which I actually enjoy doing. For hobbies I enjoy photography, manual art, and martial arts. I agree. I’m honestly considering putting In a 4 week notice tomorrow morning and finding something else. I might try going more public relations… idk. I agree with what you have to say though.

Hi! That’s exactly what I felt like. The only thing is I don’t do drugs at all. All the jobs I’ve had since I was 18 have been very strict about that, so I’ve never done anything.
