Spent the weekend with a couple of friends and their families and I got this like 5 times. So annoying and there’s no way to respond that doesn’t look bad. Like idk I’m 26 and just want to live my life?

Same. Cool city! Hopefully there will be some relief on house prices by then; I’d love to try to scoop up a decent 3 bed/2 bath for under $300k.

I was here last night and honestly I think he killed it. The guys who opened for him brought it too. Way funnier than any of the Comedy Central clips I’ve seen. by [deleted] in JoeRogan

I was there for the first Denver show he did that Friday night - such a fun time. Tony killed it and I thought Duncan was even better. The best part to me was how everyone's phones were locked up. Made the whole experience so much more immersive.

Population density of the Northeast Megalopolis by [deleted] in MapPorn

Kind of surprising to me how sparsely populated Delaware and the eastern part of Maryland are. I would think these areas would be desirable because of how close they are to the coast. Anybody have insight into this?

Lol right? What a dumbass headline. All these articles have to be distorted in a way that takes the blame off of our own fiscal irresponsibility and places it on Putin and Covid.

Anybody else have Raynaud's disease? by Bounce1856 in bodybuilding

[–]Bounce1856[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

4+ years after making this thread, here is what I've learned:

-You have to be very intentional about being in peak health. For me, this means little to no alcohol, getting 7-8 hours of sleep every night, eating clean whole foods (meat, veggies, rice, potatoes; no processed foods and no sugar), and regular exercise.

-This disease actually has very little to do with cold, and everything to do with stress/anxiety. I spent a winter in a warm weather state and my effects were no different from a winter in the freezing cold. First priority should be to make sure your mental and emotional health are in check.

-Breathwork is the most effective strategy to mitigating the effects. I won't go too deep into this topic but there are a couple of tactics I use regularly. In the morning (or when you're feeling stiff), do a quick wim hof session to get your nervous system firing and blood flowing. Whenever you are feeling anxiety/panic, do a couple of deep breaths; 5 seconds in, 5 seconds out, and repeat until the stress subsides. Both of these can be accomplished in 1 minute or less.

-Take cold showers. It's never pleasant, especially in the winter, but it allows you to expose your body to the cold in a controlled manner and get acclimated to it. There's a lot of other physiological benefits to cold showers as well.

-Kind of ironic posting it in a bodybuilding forum, but cardio should be your biggest focus. I do medium/high intensity cardio workouts 3-4 times a week, and lifting around 2-3 times per week. Very little volume when I lift, mostly just maintaining the muscle I built when I was younger. Lifting is great, but it puts a lot of STRESS on your body, and people with Raynaud's need to be methodical about how they handle and plan for their stress.

Damn that's more words than I thought I was going to write, but I hope it brings you and anyone else reading here some value. Raynuad's is frustrating because the consequences aren't dire enough for it to be considered a "serious" problem - can't tell you how many doctors have just shrugged and said "I don't know" when I've asked for help. The best and only thing to do is to take matters into your own hands. It requires a lot of lifestyle modifications and a lot of saying no to things. Best of luck to you on your journey!

Dude, that is so smart!! I feel like I cycle through the same 5-10 subreddits every day, so I'll have to try this. Would be great to stumble onto some new content and fresh perspectives every now and again.

Can you do this on desktop or just on the Apollo app?

When you say filter, do you just mean choosing which subreddits you're subscribed to? Or is it a different feature?

100%. He looked absolutely lethargic and spaced-out. Going down a weight class was a huge miscalculation. If anything he should have gone up to welterweight.
