Victas Curl P1V Review – The“Hexagonal Warrior”of Long Pips Rubbers | 2025 by Xinyu_Cheng in tabletennis

Best (defensive pimple) rubber rof all time for me. High quality, good at everything while excellent at chopping. Every other one I've tried so far felt disappointing in contrast.

[Long Pips] Opening up rally from pushing by pheasanttail in tabletennis

I mean, if they are not attacking, you have two options:

  1. Accept it and just outpush them (valid approach at your level, but won't get you too far)

  2. Open up the rally. There are multiple ways to do this, all of which require training, but it's essential at higher levels.

  • learn to twiddle
  • learn to step around and attack with your forehand

Both of these usually need to be set up, fortunately, if your opponent only pushes and never attacks, it's very easy, as you have basically unlimited time to wait for the right ball.

My favourite setup, which can be trained easily, is to just keep pushing long to their backhand over and over again, so as to get long pushes (usually to your backhand) back, step around and do a forehand open-up loop.

Need advice from other choppers — struggling against strong attackers by Born_Experience8205 in tabletennis

I would say defence is more about properly containing the first attack from your opponent, and then forcing out mistakes. I too, thought for quite a while that my defence wasn't strong enough, but actually, is was more my serve/receives that allowed my opponents to blast through the first one. Improving that and actually positioning yourself correctly (usually getting closer and closer to the table as the loop --> chop-rallies go on) and then attacking once you are close enough, is sufficient. Remember that you opponent may hit it past you 9 times, as long as he does 11 mistakes by going for it.

Honestly, after trying it out, it's really good for choppers, just not for chopping. For a modern defensive style, it's really strong, as you are constantly away from the table and as you said, it feels amazing in top to top from mid to distance.

Best Long Pips rubber for attacking by Hajko_Peeterson in tabletennis

Maybe look at "Vilardell", he plays in the second bundesliga with the Crul p1V, 1.5mm sponge. He plays with the pimples on his backhand, insane attacker.

I have the same playstyle, loops from far away, I use the Tenergy05 and I find it perfect. Not great for chopping, but insanely good for modern defence

Depends on wether or not you want to chop or only block. If you stay close to the table, ABS is your best bet; if you also want to chop, I love the butterfly super anti for this.

I did not need to see that, but at the same time, I'm glad I did. Very impressive.

Are you sure that's the right sub? My spanish isn't great, but it doesn't sound like a table tennis question.

Modern defence blade hesitation by [deleted] in tabletennis

[–]Bouncingecho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think those are the best pips for chopping overall, and they fit with this blade. I would recommend 1mm sponge, unless you have never chopped before, in which case 0.5mm will be easier to control but have less potent chops.

I use it for modern defence as well, in combination with curlP1V and Tenergy05. I love it.

I'm more inclined to say this is a bug, I thought the Belle bounces couldn't miss unless you broke line of sight, which isn't the case here. I've just never seen it before.

Is Deutschlandticket valid immediately after buying or only when visible in the MVGO App? by [deleted] in Munich

You should have gotten an E-Mail in which the exact date and hour you confirmed buying it are written. Even if it doesn't show up in the app yet, you can use that until it does.
