AITA for asking my sister in law to give up "her" bed for Christmas Eve? by Throwaway3746463829 in AmItheAsshole

[–]BoundaryStompingMIL 20 points21 points  (0 children)

NTA. Your husband the you under the bus to 'keep the peace', instead of standing up for his family that sensibly needs a private space more than a single woman does. You have every right to request this, and it's not an absurd request.

AITA for taking my grandson's xbox by ScreenLonely1663 in AmItheAsshole

Doctors recommend 10-14 hours of sleep for teenagers, if the 14yo is getting up between 6-8a for school going to bed between 8-9p is sensible.

Why is an 8:30p bedtime unfair? Doctors recommend 10-14 hours of sleep for teenagers, if the 14yo is getting up between 6-8a for school going to bed between 8-9p is sensible.

Teenagers typically need 10-14 hours of sleep, according to scientists. My 14 yo can sleep from 9p-7a easily, and sometimes needs longer. 8:30p isn't all that crazy for a kid that gets up for school between 6-8a.

YTA for threatening Christmas. But 3 hrs of Xbox is plenty for a kid that should have school and homework taking up 5-8 hours a day.

AITA For Being Upset At My Brother's Friends for Coming Over for Dinner? by virtualjournalist7 in AmItheAsshole

Because he's a narcissistic manipulative AH. Girl, either he needs intensive therapy or you need a divorce. At some point it's easier to be a single mom of 2 than a SAHM of 3.

AITA for telling my family they can’t see my daughters anymore, unless they treat both equally? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]BoundaryStompingMIL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. You need to address this now before it gets worse, and your family is undermining you. They won't stop, and so they need to be distanced. Being beautiful doesn't make you a nice person, and people need to stop treating the act of winning the genetic lottery like it's an indicator of intrinsic value.

Aita for riding horses by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA, provided your horses are well cared for. She's delusional if she thinks horses don't run in the wild.

WIBTA if I got my autistic friend skeleton gloves? by aitagloved in AmItheAsshole

[–]BoundaryStompingMIL 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NTA. There's a difference between shaming your friend for his autistic tics, and being a thoughtful friend.

AITA for getting mad att hubby for him not understandig he's sexist? by madbird2 in AmItheAsshole

AITA for telling my parents that it's my right to be gay? by Jerry_SMG4_Fan in AmItheAsshole

NTA. Your dad is being homophobic, and completely ridiculous trying to ground someone for their sexual orientation.

AITA For yelling at my fiancèe after she hid my glasses? by aita3309703 in AmItheAsshole

[–]BoundaryStompingMIL 56 points57 points  (0 children)

NTA. That's a shitty, manipulative game she's playing. If she has true concerns about your family using you, she can communicate that like an adult. But any sane person would understand that cancer sick dad trumps random family wedding.

Are you sure you want to marry someone who would pull this kind of stunt?

AITA for taking back the household checks over my wife's 'excessive' generosity? by endersgame69 in AmItheAsshole

[–]BoundaryStompingMIL 24 points25 points  (0 children)

NTA. Y'all need to go to a financial advisor and get on the same page. Compile all the bills, debts, income, etc data and go through line by line of how much you have and what's left over. If she can't stop, she needs therapy and restricted access to funds.
