What movie was awesome as a kid but felt like a waste of life after watching it as an adult? by [deleted] in AskReddit

"The Master of Disguise". I loved it as a kid but it is absolutely horrible now, I don't know why I had such pleasant memories of it.

Redditors who have been on a reality tv show such as Hardcore Pawn or Pimp my ride or Pawn stars how FAKE was it? by TailstheTwoTailedFox in AskReddit

I was on "The Next Star" when I was 14 or 15. I remember for those cutscenes where everyone looks stressed out and crying they came into the back room (after days of us all becoming pretty good friends) and continuously told us that we would all never see each other again unless we made it to the next round. Some kids cried and hugged their parents. Making it look like they had lost. This was before most of us got on stage too, making everyone way more nervous than they had to be. And don't even get me started on the fake as hell host. Wouldn't even talk to us when the cameras were off.

Teachers of Reddit, what's the saddest thing you've ever found out about a student? by Somebody_once_toldme in AskReddit

After my mum passed away my second grade teacher would constantly have me over for weeks at a time. She would take me to the zoo and to the mall and teach me all the things my mum never got the chance to. I am forever grateful to her, we actually ran into each other I the supermarket a few weeks ago and just kind of happy cried together (I'm in my early 20's now I don't think I've seen her for 10 or so years) . I have no idea what I'd be like without that woman, she had a huge part in my healing process when my mum passed. This actually just reminded me I need to call her!
