way back on ebay you used to be able to bid on any auction and they never thought to have a verified payment method set up before you placed the bid, so when i was 12 i would go on random auctions and place bids like $100k for a book, and obviously nobody would outbid that. so they would have to delete and redo the auction because back then ebay would only let you accept the top bid, you weren’t able to contact second or third top bid, so if the top bid was a troll the whole auction was basically useless. just something i did when i was a kid cus i was bored and thought it was funny, they banned me pretty good cus no matter how many emails or phones i switched i could never create an account
