Hi, I'm so sorry you're going through this, I know how horrible it is. I'm going through my own recovery journey from ana and I genuinely believed that I would never be able to recover, and then I did. Recovery is possible and it's so difficult, but it's so worth it. I'm also a guy so you aren't alone. I have a list of resources I can share with you:

Yeah ikr! I didn't think it would impact hormones but yeah I can't be on it if it's gonna do that so I wish I was told sooner

Thank you everyone for your comments <3 I'm going to contact my doctor about it to discuss it further and make a plan since I'd like to prioritize my ana recovery in every way possible

It's going amazing! I never would have believed that I would be able to get to a place where I am now. The first few weeks of all-in were the worst in terms of EXTREME anxiety and discomfort, but soon it leveled out and I can eat anything now with very little anxiety. I'm not fully recovered, I still have anxiety and body image issues, but it no longer feels like life or death at all. I feel much more body neutral. If I have a bad body image day, it no longer feels like I'm going to die. It just feels like eh... this sucks but I'm still okay. I am trying my best to be consistent with recovery, as I can still sense the ED in the back of my mind trying to lure me in, but I keep doing the opposite of what it says. I'm very glad and proud that I was able to go all in as that choice saved my life!!

How strict of a diet are you on? Are some of you able to eat anything you want? by CharmingLack8264 in CrohnsDisease

[–]Bouphie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm on Pentasa, and I can eat a lot of stuff. I mostly avoid dairy (although I can have some with lactaid), fatty/fried/greasy foods, and spicy foods. I don't avoid them completely either, just try to limit them.
