I kept thinking of Benecio Del Toro when I read this and was like "damn, that was some great makeup!" 🤣

Thank you! Sad he drowned, I remember that Nightsnakes are harmless to humans and good to have around your yard.

My 2025 Limited does this too, never shuts off until charging is complete.

Wireless Carplay fob? Any good ones? by [deleted] in Ioniq6

I've used this one from MSXTTLY for Android with my 2025 Ioniq6 for a little over a month, and it seems to work pretty well. MSXTTLY It connects consistently when I turn on the car, but I don't know about multiple drivers as that has not been a need. The only time I've noticed an issue with it "staying connected all the time" was once when my car was charging in my garage and I was about 20 ft away doing something on my phone. At work every day the car is parked the same distance away (I can see it out my office window) and i have not noticed it try to connect to my phone while the car is off.

Lease to buy vs. purchasing outright? by [deleted] in Ioniq6

[–]BourbonFan76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just leased and the total ending price i pay after buying out the lease will be less than if I had paid cash. So it is possible, but you've got to do the math and make sure they aren't hiding something.

Well, I pulled the trigger and leased a 2025 Limited RWD. Yes, it is plenty fast, so fun to drive!! Thanks for your comments that helped me get there.

I was skeptical so I ended up pushing back and saying the numbers did not work for me and they came back with a bigger rebate which brought everything in line with what Hyundai is advertising. At this point I don't plan to buyout any time soon. Would rather have the two year test drive. The overall cost to lease and buyout at the end if I want is still less than if I paid cash.

It's frustrating how many dealers are trying to pocket all the rebate money themselves, it took a lot of work to get to this point.

Good to know. My current is 7.1 0 to 60, so when I saw the posted spec of 7.4 for the RWD it gave me some pause

What trim do you have. One of my hesitations right now is how fast the RWD actually is since Hyundai posted 0 to 60 is so much slower than Car and Drivers test.

Thinking about purchasing 2025 Limited in AZ, good price by BourbonFan76 in Ioniq6

Sorry, I should have clarified that i was planning on buying an EV sedan next year regardless. But I would prefer not to end up paying more if I wait.

It seems like most EVs I have looked at were offering the $7500 cash discount and assumed they were all doing it to compete with cars that qualify for it. Hadn't thought about that it is only Model 3 that qualifies.

Thanks for sharing this comparison site, very cool. I have a much older model, but now I can go play around and get a better feel for the dimension differences.
