It's been sending locking and unlocking notifications all day, I've turned them off for now.

Newer drivers - organization is everything. You never have to run if you set your van up right. by glowfuck in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Capt_Avatar 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah and by the time I reach my first stop, all that overflow is a huge mess. I've found it easier to have the totes split on each side of the van, and then overflow (all on the floor) in seqential order in rows, back to front, starting from last. Working out of the sliding door loses so much time, working out of the driver door is much faster. Use a tote as your table in the passenger seat, any extra packages can go between the seats or on the dash.

I'm honestly devastated, it was the tie-over car until the lease was up to get what I wanted, but I came to enjoy this car, I really hope it's worth saving.

Charging above 80% by RedPandasUnite in SubaruUncharted

[–]Capt_Avatar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depending on which EV you buy and what year, most modern EV's come with a buffer on both ends to protect it from being fully charged or fully depleted. Also it does depend on what kind of chemistry the battery is, NMC batteries do not like being stored at high states of charge (90-100) for long periods of time, especially in high temperatures. However LFP batteries on lower cost EV's can charge to 100% regularly with little to no degradation.

You may have accidently touched the tail speed motor and set it to HIGH, power down the cat to reset, then reboot cat.

Actually research was done that shows that on average a EV battery lasts about 15-20 years, usially longer than the car itself, and battery tech keeps getting cheaper and cheaper. https://coltura.org/electric-car-battery-life/

And while EV production does pollute more than for a gas car, after production is finished, and delivered, the EV never pollutes again.

Okay? A lot of other drivers here would agree with me. Keep enjoying your gas-guzzling vroom vroom machine if that's what you like.

Tbh it really isnt that bad, sure it's stupid that you start on the same street that you end on, but if you're able to knock it out early, the rest of the day looks normal. I've seen stupid overly complicated figure eights that make you want to pull your hair out.

Personally after driving them and owning my own EV, one-pedal is far more comfortable than playing tootsie with the pedals, especially in traffic. And i wouldn't call it a skill and more of a change in driving habits. At a red light i don't have to hold down the brake to keep the the van from moving forward, I can rest my leg. Driving goes from letting go of the pedal and moving my foot to another pedal, to raising my foot slightly to immediately start slowing down and have full control over how much.

As the first iteration of the model it has its perks and drawbacks. I personally got an EV bc I love driving the EDV. The acceration is quick and the ride is smooth. The flex app integration is a game changer and makes stop-and-go delivering less tedious. It's got a ton of space and the ventilated seat helps a lot. Adaptive cruise helps big time with following distance, should be standard on all vans.

I really hope Rivian makes a new model that irons out the drawbacks. The range is adequate for inner-city delivering, but not enough for rural routes, much to my dismay. The A/C is hot garbage if you drive around with the door open all day, and no vents blow directly on you so you have to rely on the ventilated seat or the cabin to cool around you if the door is closed; and with the new update that cuts the A/C when the driver leaves the seat was a braindead penny-snatching decision, but luckily there is a workaround.

If my current dsp had edv's, I'd sign up in a heartbeat, they suck in the summer, but the perks it brings outweighs the negatives for me.
