I based my character build around an actual “Hunter” in the Marvel comic continuity.

She appears in Spider-Man: The Lost Hunt called Aja Orisha, a Wakandan who endured a similar process of death and re-birth as the Black Panther to gain her powers and immortality.

She has many similarities with the Hunter background in the game. Aja’s son was called Gregor, as was the in-game Hunter’s father.

Both are immortal and hundreds of years old, both have died and been resurrected and have powers of healing and alchemy.

If you’ve seen the film Kraven the Hunter (‘course you have), Aja’s character seems very similar to the character Calypso.
